  • If I am not mistaken, The One was on the golf course until the raid on Bin Laden was underway. If you look at the picture of the people in the “Situation Room,” the president is still wearing a golf shirt. Hillary looks involved, but not

  • It appears that NO ONE in the Obama adminsitration is willing to just answer a question. What is so hard about “Did you know…?” Is it so hard to honestly answer “yes” or “no?” Not every question requires a dissertation. as ts answer. Generally, verbosity is used to hide the fact that one is lying. In this administration, that comes as no surprise.

  • Let me see. I have to choose between Chick-Fil-A’s fantastic sandwiches and Boston, Massachussetts. I really like those chicken sandwiches, and I really never saw anything much worthwhile in Boston, or even Massachussetts.

Sorry, Mayor. I choose Chick-Fil-A. And you can keep your beans, too.

  • I know New York is a “cosmoolitan” city. As such, it accepts diversity shunned by other cities. But surely, even New York has some sense of propriety in electing its leaders. If Wiener is acceptable to New Yorkers, how can New York be acceptable to the rest of us? King Bloomberg has been bad enough. But he is just a megalomaniac. Wiener is a pervert of the first order.

Please don’t blame the State of Tennessee. As I posted earlier, he has been an embarrassment to Tennesseans for years. As a congressman, he represents Shelby County/Memphis. The rest of the state is somewhat more sane. Of course, Nashville is represented by Jim Cooper. And he is a less flamboyant Democrat than Mr. Cohen, but just as subservient to the leadership. He talkes a good game at home, but follows Mrs. Pelosi around like a hungry puppy.

However, we did re-elect Lamar Alexander to the Senate. For that, I must apologize to the nation. He was a pretty good governor years ago, but he is a truly rotten senator. Sorry, he still has another 4 1/2 years on this term. And I am truly, truly sorry.

We must not forget the filibuster of Senator Albert Gore Sr. against the Civil Rights Act. And Bill Clinton’s segregationist mentor, J. William Fulbright. And George Wallace, a Democrat who was shot while he ran for the presidency. And you mentioned KKK Grand Dragon Robert Byrd. The Democrats referred to him as th “Conscience of the Senate.”

Why is it that the Republican Party ejects slugs from their ranks, but the Democrats promote and extoll them? Oh, I know. It’s called INTEGRITY.

  • I have never understood the flap over schools’ logos. They are opposed because they demean the group or idea symbolized. And yet I have never heard of the Ontario Skunks or the Ithaca Nazis. Generally schools have chosen a group, animal or idea that they revere. The logo is a symbol of something demanding respect, nopt ridicule. Tell a Texan that it is demeaning to use the term Longhorns. Tell a Tennessean not to use Volunteers. And let us not forget the Spartans, Fighting Irish, or Wolverines. These are symbols of fierce people or creatures revered by the students and alumni, and often feared by opponents.

Suffice it to say that a school logo is chosen with respect, not disdain. And I regret the downgrading of the Fighting Sioux. The tribe deserves to be revered for their strength and courage.

  • The first four commandments establish the authority for the last six. If you eliminate the divinity of God from the Commandments, the last six would become the Six Suggestions. The strength of the last six commandments is based on the fact that all ten were given by the ultimate authority in the universe and beyond.

If you eliminate the absolute, the divine Creator, you destroy the power and the credibility of the last six that tell us how to deal with our fellow man.

  • I will do my part, too. I will restrict my diet to only red meat and the other white meat (pork) so I can sell my carbon credits, too. I would like a little fried chicken every once in a while, but if I have all the bacon wrapped filet mignon I can eat, I can be persuaded to give up even chicken. I will use fiber additives to replace all those fruits and veggies so my elimination system will continue to function.

By the way, where can I sell my carbon credits? Al Gore’s Chicago exchange closed down due to lack of interest a while back.

  • This is ridiculous. Everyone knows the dinosaurs were killed by global warming. And the global warming was caused by the coal-fired volcanos and the tremendous SUVs all the dinos drove. When you think of a 140 foot long Explorers getting 12 gallons per mile, just imagine how much CO2 they generated.

And only idiots would think of blaming that meteor that hit the Yucatan like thousands of nuclear weapons hitting at once. And the resulting wall of fire that destroyed much of life in North America had nothing to do with the extinction. And the resulting dust cloud that caused GLOBAL COOLING had nothing to do with the extinction.

That is a falsehood advanced by those nasty deniers of manmade global warming. The fact that it was accepted years before Al Gore was born just shows the prescience of the deniers.
