WWII Vet Leaves His Own Hilarious Obituary About a ‘Life Filled With Endless Laughter and Debauchery’
June 4, 2013 at 11:08pm
Good comments, thesetruths. Being a decorated war hero does not provide license to live a life of “debauchery”. He did a great disservice to himself and to whatever other folks such a life “style” of necessity implies.
‘Go Godless’ Billboard Misquotes Sarah Palin on the Bible and Gov’t (and Atheists Apologize)

Well said.
Communism an ‘Exaggerated Fear’? Social Security a ‘Right’? We Have Jack Lew’s College Thesis

This story is a relative yawn. Yes, it is interesting, but I would expect nothing less than this (a far-left loon) from being appointed by Mr. Far-Left-Loon-in-Chief.
S.E. Cupp Pulls Out of CPAC Until Groups Representing Gay Republicans Are Embraced
February 26, 2013 at 4:50pm
Dear Ms. S. E. Cupp: Staying away from CPAC? A splendid idea. Why don’t you also stay away until Republicans learn how to explain why money, investments, and corporations are not evil? Until Mitch McConnell learns how to vote like he talks? Until (alleged) conservatives learn how to lead the debate on the real issues instead of getting dragged into trip-up issues?
Federal Court Finds No Constitutional Right to Carry a Concealed Weapon — We Explain The Decision

I find it disturbing that theorists (the judges) are so clever at twisting words and wresting laws that justice is subverted. In my simple mind, the guy simply wants to be able to defend himself, and the stuffed shirts said he can’t. Any 10-year old can you tell you that’s a violation of the 2nd amendment.
Terrorism Center at West Point Warns Against Danger of American Limited-Government Activists and ‘Far Right’
January 19, 2013 at 3:52am
The rhetorical fine line with this topic is that there actually are groups that promulgate violence and appear ready to use weapons to further their aims, neve mind the ideology; so, this lousy CTC report has grains of truth in it, even though the report itself is politically warped.
Feds to Designate 9.6 Million Acres as ‘Critical Habitat’ for Spotted Owl
November 23, 2012 at 12:21am
Normally, I’m upset at Federal land grabs (especially for anything that smells leftist), but seeing as the three affected states are Wash, Oreg, and Calif, why not?
RNC Protester Shows Up Waving a Pair of Underwear to Slam Romney’s Faith

There seems to be a bit of interest in … underwear? Sounds disturbing…
RNC Protester Shows Up Waving a Pair of Underwear to Slam Romney’s Faith

LUVSYESHUA: Regarding your one quote: “I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together” etc. I’m sure you like trotting out this quote because of the strong rhetoric, however, context is important, I think. At this time in history, Joseph Smith was being slammed with all kinds of frivilous lawsuits and slander accusing him of all kinds of things, plus it was common back in those debate-friendly days to use strong rhetoric anyhow. If you can look past the heavy rhetoric, he explains himself, and there is a certain logic.

LUVSYESHUA: Regarding your one quote “We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea” etc. The context is that he was explaining that everything has a beginning, and that Jesus had power to do what the Father had done. While I agree that this type of teaching is not to be found in current-day Christianity, I don’t think it’s so out of line as to invite ridicule and scorn. If you think about it without bias, it kind’a makes sense.
