  • You think that was karma? I don’t think you understand the concept.

Someone saying a prayer is pushing beliefs? Bringing up what led to your success is pertinent in a valedictorian speech. Bringing up your sexual desires is in no way pertinent to your success.

You see, normal people, their life doesn’t revolve around their sexuality. In broken people, it does.

  • How does it take courage exactly? Do you think his family is going to disowned him? They won’t. Do you think someone is going to bully him? They won’t. Do you think he will be ostracized? He won’t be.

It takes courage to tell people you are religious. It doesn’ take courage to tell people you are gay. It used to be, but in today’s society, it is celebrated.

  • I’m sure everyone hearing the speech thought, no duh. They all knew he was gay. It’s just comical seeing stories that say that it takes courage to do something like this. Maybe in Iran or Russia. Not in America, where it’s celebrated. You make the cover of SI, and every talking head reports it with a big grin on their face.
As if there is a mob with pitchforks that is roving the country out to get gays.

  • The problem with this story, is that ignores that both these gentleman, especially Lucas, has produced films that were horrible. So horrible, that I would say that had it not had his name, no movie company would have ever allowed it to be distributed. Howard the Duck was a George Lucas Film. And the steaming pile known as the Phantom Menace. Personally, I think that film erases all credibility Lucas ever attained. Why? Well, how many years did we wait after Return of the Jedi for this much anticipated film? And after all that time, this is the best Lucas could do? Unforgivable.
As for Spielberg, not all his films are War Horse good. The Crystal Skull is horrible. It was beyond bad.
So while there have been flashes of genius with both, they can and have produced real garbage at times. Let us not just be willing to bow down to their greatness because they have been very very good at times. IMO, Lucas’ sin of the Phantom Menace is unpardonable. He had 20 years and this is what he comes up with? Truly pathetic.

  • @CrazyTravis – FAIL! – The Bible admits Paul never met Jesus? Seriously? What version are you reading? Paul, who was Saul, met Jesus on his way to Damascus. That you don’t know this is just comical considering what you posted. He saw him. Jesus spoke to him. He turned Saul from someone that all the Christians feared, into someone that ended up dying for his belief in the resurrected Christ.

  • >>why do these people harass and film people coming and going….I would be pissed myself.

    Comprehension much?

The grandmother explains why she’s there…..because it’s a botched abortion that requires an ambulance. That’s news worthy isn’t it? Most on the left potray abortion as no different than a regular trip to the Dr.

So maybe next time listen or watch the video and pay attention instead of making a conclusion based on poor observation.

  • Christ loves adulterers, child molesters, thieves, liars…He loves all of us. So the gay guy was right in that respect. But that does not mean Christ accepts his immoral behavior and will accept him into his presence after the gay man’s inevitable physical death. ESPECIALLY when the gay man knowingly commits sin and refuses to stop his immoral behavior. Christ taught us to bridle our passions and to do good.
The Bible tells us to judge and it says it often enough that when someone suggest that we aren’t supposed to be disgusted by flagrant in your face sodomites and condemn the behavior, we know they are simply fools.

  • I’m happy that you have yet to have the misfortune to have a run in with the type of copy many of the rest of us have. The type of failure in life that uses a badge and a uniform to overcome his pathetic existence. The type that immediately escalates things to a 10 if you dare do anything but cower to his authority and every command. And God help you if you question him. You’ll be spitting teeth and be charged for “resisting arrest” just for his and his co-conspirators good laughs.
Do I know good cops? Sure. But I have seen first hand how cops default position is to protect their own no matter how many times the same accusation is made against one of theirs.
If your a cop and you can’t tell this kid is challenged within a minute, you aren’t fit for the job.

  • After watching Moore’s inability to understand the difference between being wrong and lying in an interview with Bill O’Reilly, he became nothing more than a clown. His absolute inability to discern the difference between the tow shows just how weak his mental facilities are. O’Reilly repeatedly tried to explain the difference, but Moore just couldn’t grasp the difference. If you say something that you believe, that the whole world believes, and it turns out to be incorrect, then in Moore’s mind, it means you lied.
Since Moore deals in almost truths and has made a killing off ignorance, it’s just pathetic that he calls others liars.
He is a colossal embarassment. And I would have no problem making a fool of him in conversation, but it would obviously require an educated audience because he simply lacks the ability to follow logic and reason.

  • @JRook -
Obamacare did not address the problem of why the costs of health care are spiraling out of control. To say it did, is simply uninformed as you put it.
It isn’t “stupid” to accept DMV-style health care just so everyone gets coverage.
It is stupid to argue that the quality of health care won’t decline under a national health care system.
It is stupid to say market forces are at work in the present system or under Obamacare. A government bureacrat deciding a fee schedule is not Adam Smith’s invisible hand at work.
It is stupid to “fix” health care and not have tort reform.
It is stupid to suggest Doctors are profiting 2.5 times as much as their counterparts in other countries.
By all means, let’s embrace the mediocrity of the rest of the world just so everyone will have health insurance. Everyone in America (citizen or not)already gets health care, it’s mandated by law.
