  • Ask some Black women with their natural hair if white folks don’t still try to touch their hair, without any permission whatsoever, and most of us will say that we’ve had this happen to us,and we’ve had to let them know they are not allowed to reach up and touch our hair,or our children’s hair for any reason!

  • She is highly educated and has fought all her life to make sure African Americans had the same rights that all whites in America took for granted. He husband was murdered on his doorstep in front of his wife and children in that most racist of states,Mississippi, for trying to attain civil rights for Blacks.Yes,it takes much more than an education to be a civil rights leader. It takes courage and a sense of right and wrong that caused some people to even lay down their lives.Do not play her cheap.

  • What have whites done in the good old USA for hundreds of years, but vote for white only and denying Blacks the right to vote.Of course we voted for Obama because he looked like us.So what?

  • sorry, but lev in Hebrew is heart, not kelev.

  • He knows who he is.On the census form he checked African American. He is a Black man with a white mother. He knows exactly who and what he is!

  • I live in Israel and although I am disappointed that Stevie Wonder has chosen not to perform here for whatever reason,he has that right. What I don’t understand is all the name calling and out and out racist comments toward him!To me that is more unacceptable than his decision not to perform here.Whatever your opinion toward his decision, does that justify all the hate.

Why can’t you just say to each his own and keep on stepping. Why does every mention of a Black person cause people to start shouting “go back to Africa”?What is the matter with you people?

  • I have to just shake my head as I read some of the comments because they are so stupid. Then I have to remind myself that the average white in America knows nothing about any racial/ethnic group in America, not even their own.The only person who can comment on whether this models attire is offensive are people who belong to this group. That means most of the comments aren’t worth anything.I have always been curious how whites can equate The Fighting Irish motto to any of the “Indian”terms such as Braves,Redskins, and the actual names of various tribes. You don’t admire their fighting spirit, you admire the fact that you vanquished them, exiled them to reservations, stole their land and killed them off!

When I saw the model in Indian garb,I thought it was ridiculous, but have seen year after year the fashion industry looking for something interesting and often turning to non white ethnic groups for inspiration. What I don’t understand(probably because I’m not white)is why anything from the non white world is deemed ethnic, but if it comes from Europe it isn’t.Aren’t there any white ethnicities,or are they all the same?I know they aren’t,so we need to drop the generic term ethnic and get specific.

After what the white man has done to the Native American,I hope they take every dime you have in their casinos, and sell you every piece of fake jewlery they can make!

  • I am an African American.I was born in America and my ancestors came from Africa.Would you be so quick to say there aren’t any Irish Americans, just Irish or Americans,or Italian Americans?I doubt it,so don’t try to define who I am.Call yourself whatever you want, but you have no right to call me anything!.

  • Let me tell you one thing, white folks, you are sick and just can’t stand to see a Black man and woman in the white house, who are NOT the hired help. Most African Americans whose families have been in America for 6 plus generations and whose ancestors were enslaved for hundreds of years, are more of the mind set of Michelle Obama than any of you will ever know.
Most of us work with you and we may live next door to you and send our kids to the same school with yours, but we see the world very different from you because our day to day experiences are still based on our color in all our dealings with you.

That is why we prefer our own company in social situations. We can’t trust you to not break out with some racist BS that we just may have to curse you out over.I voted for Obama the first time and will vote for him again.I do not talk politics, especially when there is a Black involved, with any white person. If you knew me,you’d never think that I was just like you think Michelle Obama is,but I identify with her, took many Black courses when I was in University and am blessed to work in an all Black environment so that I don’t have to deal with white folks foolishness.

Above all I want ,to remind you that affirmative action was practised four 400 years,FOR WHITES. I bet not one of you or your parents or grandparents objected when the United States denied African Americans their civil and human rights, discriminated against us and jim crowed us in the North,South,East and W

  • What you seem to have forgotten is that for all the years that The United States of America has existed, affirmative action was the norm-it was affirmative action for white people!Blacks were locked out and not allowed to compete and for a Black to get anywhere he/she had to be 3 times as good as a white to be allowed the opportunity. You are a racist because I bet you never voiced any protest when whites were given every advantage to suceed, but now that you think that a Black is being given some kind of advantage, you proclaim you don’t believe that a Black professional is smart enough to have achieved anything on his own.

Until the day where a Black or another minority receives a medical, legal or any other kind of license without having to pass the same exam that everyone else has to take, then you and others like you are indeed racist to assume that a Black in a position is not as smart as a white.Think about it!
