  • So let’s inability to read to my initial point about the tin foil hat crowd.

You are all right. I am Barack Obama, you can tell because I ended the second paragraph by saying I oppose Obamacare, and that it actually is a frightening bill, just not because they can “gain access” to your medical records. (Which are already digital, and have been for the better of a decade)

I will try to state this as simply as possible so you troglodytes can keep up.

1.) Obamacare is bad legislation, but not because the IRS is going to somehow get access to your SEALED medical records and use that to…

2.) What the IRS did is insane, and most likely illegal, and certainly a scandal, I don’t disagree with any assessment of “the Left used the IRS to attack the Right.”

3.) THESE ARE NOT RELATED POINTS!

I understand that many of you are too stupid to understand individual catastrophic government failures and so you have to create a giant net where everything interconnects, but while both Obamacare and The IRS scandal are terrible things, they do not tie together like this. What the IRS did legal or not is within it’s resources. What you are describing would involve hacking patient files. It would be the equivalent of suggesting that Bank of America can Microchip your Iris. It’s simply beyond the scope of the IRS’s capabilities. Can the government gain access to your records? CERTAINLY, but it would be illegal, and they would not need to use the IRS to do it.

  • Why is it that people are always angry about the wrong thing. The IRS as it relates to obamacare is a non-issue. The requirement is simply to make sure you have health insurance. they IRS does not have access to your health records. Just knowledge that you have health records, so you are not assessed a fee. They cannot gain access to anything that is discussed between you and your doctor.

What should really outrage people about Obamacare is that we added 25 million people to the Healthcare rolls of insurance companies without forcing any accountability from the agency. Thanks to mccarran ferguson act we are just giving free money to insurance companies, which is a much bigger problem than the fact that IRS will now know that you have insurance.

… But yes all you tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy idiots, by all means pretend the government is out to steal your soul through the IRS, that way the actual problems with a Obamacare can fall through the cracks.

  • So you are saying that in 1964 public opinion was for granting equal rights to minorities? hmmmmm Martin Luther King Jr. was sure pissed about something then…. perhaps it was the over regulation of guns…. oh wait…

To reiterate just so we are on the same page, you are opposed to civil rights legislation because it led to a resurgence of the KKK and the Aryan Nation, because prior to 1964 those organizations were virtually silent…

    For the record

in 1930 the KKK had 30,000 members
    in 1980 they had 5,000

I am certain the civil rights legislation and court cases of the 60s and 70s lead the sharp incline in membership. HA.

    You Argument Is Invalid.

  • @Lord_Frostwind
“When the Supreme Court creates a right, then all it serves to do is forever cement the anger and hatred of both sides until it shatters the unity of the nation. If you don’t believe that, look at what has happened with Roe v Wade, that issue has become several hundred times worse of an issue with society once the Supreme Court intervened.”

BOY are you right, we should have never given those black people the right to vote or Marry white people, because it created a whole slew of Wallace anti-busing supporters. With logic like that I am surprised public opinion isn’t behind you.

  • @jaycen

How very christian (not sure if you are) of you to wish death upon people. I would hardly call taxes theft, conservative stole $1.4 trillion to attack two nations, but of course that wasn’t theft, social security is not theft, but somehow my hypothetical (I can actually afford health insurance and pay for it) need to get help paying for procedures that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to stay alive is THEFT!

But even if I were to entertain your uneducated asinine idea that people who can’t afford healthcare should die, that is not what actually happens. The U.S. does not turn away people with illness that require help. It is in part why your health insurance costs are so high, and your taxes are high. Are you unfamiliar with “uncompensated care.” Poor people can’t afford doctor visits, so they go to emergency care, long after preventative care could have helped and saved us all money, and then when they can’t pay, your premiums, and taxes, and healthcare bills go up. If you are truly against “theft” you might want to consider a system that either lets anyone who is sick and not “rich enough to afford it” die, or as it currently stands the Obama Insurance plan, with it’s bureaucracy, and problems will actually cause less theft than the system we currently have. Hence my Automatons comments, Obamacare is a republican idea, but a Democrat proposed it so it must be evil!

    Your Argument Is STILL Invalid.

  • There are certainly automatons on both sides. Here is how you can tell. In reading this article people didn’t seem to notice that the first part of the “bureaucratic nightmare” ahead of us is a 21 page form that people who currently don’t have healthcare would fill out to get healthcare. I am sure those people that have cancer but can’t get treatment are going to be really bummed that instead of being turned away or racking up bills they can never afford to pay back they have to fill out this 21 page form. oh the injustice.

Oh and if you actaully read up on the form you will find out that this is something you have to fill out once to have on file. Kind of like the first time you go to a doctor and they get a full medical work up and history, but yes I would much rather die due to lack of affordable healthcare then fill out paperwork.

    Your argument is invalid.

  • If you want to see proof for why this law is still relevant and necessary you need go no further than the comments section of the blaze. Thank you blaze readers for once again proving that your argument is invalid.

  • So let me get this perfectly straight. According to The Blaze’s reporting, it was ok for Reagan and the NRA to be for gun control in the 1960s because they were afraid of the black panthers openly carrying assault riffles?

Why wasn’t their solution to simply get more “good guys” more guns? OH that’s right because they didn’t used to be crazy gun nuts, at some point they were a club for people that liked firearms and used them for sport, not just a club for adult males that have a fascination with toys lack the proper “equipment”

  • So do you people really see no difference between heavily trained secret service agents and armed guards? Let me get this perfectly straight you would like to cut back on social programs but hire a heavily trained guard to stand in every school, and Obama is the hypocrite?

For the record Columbine had a guard.
