  Sad that our weak, dumbed-down society has allowed hysterical, non-thinkers to leverage the few irresponsible knuckle-draggers among the multimillions of responsible gun owners to demonize an inanimate object to the point that adults can only hide the children when faced with a madman.

  The tools of evil can be as inconspicuous as the smallpox virus delivered by blanket or as showy and macho as a knife or gun. Sometimes the tool is as powerful as a fertilizer and fuel oil mix or as slow and painful as forced famine. Every household in America has under the kitchen sink, in the basement and the garage, the means of mass murder. You need only add evil intent. Passing laws and railing against inanimate objects in the aftermath of evil is the act of a coward hiding behind the flourish of impotent words. They puff and they blame while in their heart of hearts they pray evil does not cast a glance back to them or their loved ones. Love, preparedness, honesty, diligence and courage, these are the tools to cut evil off at the knees and minimize the damage when it rears its merciless head. Sad that so many choose to politicize and post and tweet their way to a false sense of security rather than face a reality that has been with us since the beginning of time.

Passing laws and speaking against inanimate objects in the the aftermath of evil is the act of a cowardly poser hiding behind the flourish of meaningless words while hoping evil does not cast a glance back to them or their loved ones. Love, preparedness, honestly, diligence and courage are the means to cut evil off at the knees, minimizing the damage when it rears its merciless head. Sad that so many choose to politicize and post and tweet rather than face reality.
