  I don’t think this is true. What needs to stop happening is republicans and democrats need to cut the crap and stop fighting. They’re too busy trying to compete for the american public that they’re not taking care of the issues that matter. It’s not just the liberals who are messing up. It’s everybody. Everybody’s getting caught up in this silly game of blame and political grab ass that productivity is in the toilet. The productivity level of congress has gone down throughout the past couple decades, going through both Republican and Democrat hands. What I’ve noticed on this website is that everybody is so quick to blame the liberals, and on other websites, liberals are also so quick to blame the republicans. Everybody’s wasting their ******* breath on who’s blaming who that we have no more energy left to compromise in solving this absolutely massive economic crisis. Stop being children, people, grow up and learn to work together instead of constantly playing the blame game. We as an american public are getting NOWHERE by diverting our energy to fighting each other. This has to end. Beck’s instigation of such issues as well, blaming such and such and highlighting where everybody did everything wrong is NOT helpful, it’s just directing hate. We need to stop this before our nation becomes subpar from tearing itself apart from the inside.

  Tell me, wordweaver, did you also boycott cigarette companies? Because I can think of a lot more useful things to boycott other than teen clothing companies. Teen clothing will always try to push the edges of the boundaries because it’s a progressing market. If it’s boring, it’s out.

  @Therightofbilly: “Every problem in America can be traced back to the liberals.” Although I understand this is a predominantly conservative site, you don’t think GW Bush messed up in office? He did HORRIBLY. In addition, the economic crisis (the biggest problem we have currently) is not a result of the liberal agenda you like to detest so much. It is because of the big banks and the housing industry. The liberals are not the only ones to blame. It is EVERYBODY in washington. Everybody is messing up and the policies in place are sloppy, instated by Republicans and Democrats alike. Don’t push the blame on the opposing party, take responsibility for it together. The constant finger pointing is getting us as Americans nowhere. Both parties need to take responsibility to tackle these problems together.

  I know both sides of the argument. I studied the bible and creation extensively in high school, went to a prestigious university and did just the same amount of studying about evolution.

  Guess what? Evolution is way more believable because of all the reasoning and logic behind it. But it seems like you didn’t really feel like actually researching something you wish to denounce. It seems like you’re regurgitating whatever you learned on Sunday. So please, before you ask the wrong questions about evolution, do a bit of research and don’t just be a religious sheep parrot.

  This is not a debate about whether evolution is correct or not. It seems like you just want to use this space to vent to your peers about how wrong evolution is.

  1) Just because somebody’s an atheist doesn’t make them anti-god. Do you see atheists everywhere running around, telling christians their beliefs are wrong? Usually, that only happens after the christian tries to convince the atheist that jesus is the way or whatever
  2) Your reasoning with the apes shows you don’t actually know how evolution works
  3) You don’t think god could have created evolution? I mean, it would be a pretty dick move of god to put fossil evidence just to trick us.
  4) Nobody cares about the chicken & the egg. Us knowing that doesn’t solve anything.
  5) Evolution is not the same thing as atheism. It is a scientific theory (one getting more and more backing and evidence everyday), while atheism is a set of beliefs. You can be an atheist and not believe in evolution, just like you can be a christian that does believe in evolution. Just because you are spoon fed information from your church doesn’t make it applicable OR correct. Literally, people have PhD’s in biology about this topic. There is no PhD in “creation,” although there is one in theology. Not the same thing. I think you are trivializing the work of thousands of scientists and researchers just because your pastor or whoever told you it was wrong. How about you find out what evolution really is, THEN start asking these irrelev

  Maybe you need to stop comparing the presidency to Tiger Woods and Demi Moore. I would rather have a smart atheist in office than a dumb christian. I would also rather have a smart christian in office than a dumb atheist. I’m sorry, but you sound very presumptuous in this post. You need to stop judging people so superficially, especially movie stars because their demeanor is going to be very different from the average person’s.
