Why Are You Seeing All Those Red Squares as Facebook Profile Pictures?
March 27, 2013 at 8:13pm
Actually, marriage is about children. Epic fail liberals.
If marriage is about love, then why can’t best friends, brothers and sisters, parents and children, etc, all get married to each other? Do they not really love each other enough to get married? Plenty of people love their pets, we gonna start having people marry pets too?
Sure, love is part of a marriage, but you can love people without being married. I love my parents but I will never marry one of them. Same goes for my friends, siblings, and other relatives. Marriage is legal contracting holding a man and woman accountable as they start a family together, which two men or two women cannot do.
This is important because kids need both a mom and a dad, and also because raising kids is expensive. Women are especially vulnerable, as they are typically the one who says at home to raise the kids and doesn’t have an external income. How would be fair if the man just decided he was done with this whole family thing and left with no accountability. It wouldn’t be fair, that’s why people pay child support if they skip out on raising the kids.
Love is a part of marriage, but it is also a part of many other relationships in life. The one thing that makes marriage unique is children, aka a family.
S.E. Cupp Tells TheBlaze Why She Supports Gay Republican Groups — and How the GOP Should Handle the Issue
February 28, 2013 at 8:31pm
Sorry S.E., but Conservatism has never been and never will be about maximizing liberty. Conservatism is about finding the balance between liberty and anarchy, as in many cases too much liberty causes problems.
For example, the basic unit of civilization is the family. Kids are not born with the ability to be productive and moral members of society, they need to be taught how to be by their parents. We are already seeing the results of massive heterosexual immorality. In the Black community almost 80% of children grow up in single parent homes. That means more crime, more drug use, less education, lower wages, etc. Now you want to add government celebrated homosexuality to the equation?
More liberty is NOT always better, and homosexuality never has been and never will be a Conservative value. If you believe the government should give positive recognition to homosexuality in any way then you are not a Conservative, you’re either a libertarian or a liberal.
S.E. Cupp Pulls Out of CPAC Until Groups Representing Gay Republicans Are Embraced
February 27, 2013 at 1:47am
Homosexuality has never been and never will be a conservative value. If you reject the idea that homosexuality is bad then you are not a Conservative you are a Libertarian. That’s pretty much what a Libertarian is, someone who agrees with Conservatives on many issues but doesn’t really take the idea of God and morality seriously.
Also, concerning the Jefferson quote, I would find it extremely unlikely that anything in the context in that quote would suggest he was referring to homosexuality or other deviant behavior. Homosexuality was against the law until the 1960s or something, so unless there’s some other proof that Jefferson was pro-homosexuality, then use of that quote is deceptive and disingenuous.
Most of the time I agree with Glenn, but in this case he is dead wrong. I don’t support the idea of making homosexuality illegal, as for starters the government already has way too much power already, but that doesn’t mean we need to go all the way to the other side of the spectrum and give homosexual behavior public recognition. If people want to have gay sex, fine, go ahead, but don’t go crying to the government when people point out the fact that homosexuality is immoral.
What the Heck Is This ‘Deer Antler Spray’ You’re Hearing About Involving a Super Bowl Player?
January 31, 2013 at 4:59pm
Rofl @ people trying to take HGH orally. Why do you think oral steroids are methylated, just for laughs? Raw hormones cannot survive the digestion process, and thus you can’t take HGH orally and the idea that hormones in milk is somehow a problem is also bogus.
Hobby Lobby: Go Ahead and Fine Us, We Won’t Comply With ‘Morning-After’ Mandate
December 28, 2012 at 1:48pm
The Constitution does not give rights to people based upon the group they are a member of, it gives rights to people based on the fact that they are an individual citizen of the United States. Every individual has the freedom of religion in EVERY aspect of their life, and that includes their business. If someone has a business they have every right to manage it according to their religious convictions even if the businesses itself does not provide goods or services of an explicitly religious nature. We need to support Hobby Lobby and other businesses as they stand up to these tyrants before we all lose our freedom of religion.
Christian Radio Host Says God Didn’t Protect Kids in Shooting Because We’ve Told ‘God to Get Lost’
December 14, 2012 at 11:07pm
Nothing Bryan said in that clip was remotely close to be untrue, yet most of the comments I read on here are bashing him. Numerous times in the Bible God abandoned Israel to their wicked ways when they stopped worshiping Him and started worshiping idols. What reason is there to believe that He doesn’t do the same today when nations reject Him?
America needs to make up it’s mind and stop being lukewarm. You can’t just run to God for help when some gunman has come to shoot up your school when the rest of the time you’re telling Him to get lost because he’s not welcome. Schools have taken prayer of out schools, the pledge of allegiance out of Schools, they won’t allow Bible in schools, they won’t allow the ten commandments in schools, they won’t even allow people to mention the name of Jesus in schools, but you expect God to be in your schools to protect you when some crazed gunman comes to shoot up your school? What kind of logic is that? Make up your mind, you can’t have it both ways.
S.E. Cupp Advises GOP to Back Gay Marriage: ‘Conservatism and Gay Rights Should Be…Natural Allies’
December 1, 2012 at 1:35am
S.E. is a typical air-head establishment type Republican. The Conservative party is not about maximizing liberty, that’s what the Libertarian party is. The Conservative party is about a limited government balanced between tyranny and anarchy. Government needs to be involved in some areas to prevent anarchy, but not every area so as to be tyranny.
Marriage is an integral part of a functional society. Children are not born with the knowledge and skills to be productive members of society. They need to be taught as they grow. A marriage is the environment in which children are best able to be prepared for life as an adult. Without that society will take a significant turn towards anarchy because kids will not learn the morals and work ethics they need to be contributing members of society. That is why government has a compelling interest in regulating marriage. Man and women are designed for each other in every aspect, mentally, physically, and emotionally. They also bring unique contributions to children raising that are necessary for an optimal nurturing environment.
E.W. Jackson said it best (paraphrasing): God is not a liar. There is no such thing as same sex marriage. There is no possibility of there being a “marriage” between two men or two men. You can create a union and call it “marriage”, but it will never be marriage no matter how much you call it marriage. We, as Christians, will never, ever accept that definition of marriage.
Oh, Man: ‘Two and a Half Men’ Star Now Apologizes for Calling His Own Show ‘Filth’
November 28, 2012 at 11:19am
Based on what he said, it doesn’t look like he was apologizing about calling the show filth. He was simply correcting the liberal idea that if you disagree with something then you must hate it. Just because he disagrees with the contents of the show doesn’t mean he hates all the people on the show. He still values them as friends and colleagues, he just disagrees with the values the show is promoting. How hard is that to understand, Blaze?

The Left Behind series is not Christian. It’s religious fiction, and mildly entertaining, but not Christian.
Allen West Blasts Dem Platform Flap in New Campaign Ad: ‘Three Times They Said No to God’

Fornication is not a healthcare issue anymore than narcotic use is. Risky behavior can have a negative impact on your health, but that doesn’t mean it qualifies as a healthcare issue. The reason it has to be mandated is because risky behavior is too expensive for insurance companies to cover while at the same time still having competitive premium costs. Why are you surprised that your employer and your insurance company don’t want to pick up the tab for your selfish and stupid choice to engage in risky behavior?
