  One additional thought: I cut and pasted the officer’s name into a search engine and discovered an incredible number of Ohioans with similar names with criminal records!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don’t know what to make of it. Is Daniel Harless a common Iowan name?

  I just wandered in to this story tonight. Could anyone update what finally happenned to this wretched cop? Canton should be ashamed for keeping him on the force so long. Seems like PDs protect their own. I hope his career has come to an end. I live in South Florida and have a ccw and work as a courier. Our street numbering is confusing here and on several occassions as I wander around with my trusty gps, I have been stopped by cops. I always am immediately asked for licence and registration and instantly present my ccw licence and am asked to present the weapon. It is politely returned to me with bullets separate and am told to reload 30 seceonds after they depart!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone with additional info may contact me at zelskid@hotmail.com. The most cautious response I ever saw was to unsnap their holsters. The officers told me that they don’t worry about licensees, who have been thoroughly vetted and trained. Just the criminals. The Blaze has done a great job on reporting this incident, but I can’t see how it was resolved.
