‘Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus’: Controversial Viral Video Logs 10 Million Hits in Four Days

A little more logic for the “educated”. A complete copy of the book of Isaiah from the first century was found with the Dead Sea Scrolls. When this manuscript was compared to later “editions”, it matched up verbatim. This would lead one to believe that Jewish scribes copied and recopied the Hebrew Bible with the utmost fidelity.
So with this kind of foundation….what exactly don’t you believe in?

I don‘t mean to say that Jesus wasn’t a real PERSON–that was quite probably true, I doubt the entire account of the New Testament was just SPONTANEOUSLY FABRICATED; no, I’m sure the oral histories that became written gospels some two hundred years afterwards, and coalesced into the Bible we know today after a series of Roman councils, following Christianity’s widespread success it was decided it was important to actually decide what it is that Christianity WAS, so I’m sure they had some inspiration from real world events.
So by this logic, all the ancient writings by Plato, Socrates, Homer, Caesar and on and on MUST fall into this same thinking. That they have been compromised. Do you doubt the accuracy of all the ancient writers? Well, you should. Especially since the manuscripts of these writers didn’t appear for well over a thousand years after they wrote them. Homers Odyssey (we all read that in English, right?) manuscript, 2200 years after he wrote it. How do we know of there accuracy? Most of these writers may only have had 5 or 10 copies made up.
The Bible on the other hand, 5750 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament and over 25,000 copies in various other translations. What am I saying. Truth and accuracy shine when you cross reference a scripture with 5749 other manuscripts, wouldn’t you say?
No other book is on a more solid foundation, has more manuscripts or cross references than

Nevertheless, you have no evidence to presuppose the miraculous claims of Christians are any more likely true than, say, Hindus, or Muslims who say that ALL of the prophets of the Jews and Christians, including Jesus, were messengers of God, but that God spoke one more time to Mohammed, and then has since ceased speaking to humanity.
Ahh…this is a typical response by a non believer rooted in ignorance, desperation and denial.
Fact: No other book besides the Bible has had to stand up to more scrutiny, been more criticized and less understood.
For the atheist or non believer, your life is staked on the Bible whether you agree or not. You hope it is wrong about the nature of reality and that it is wrong regarding one God and that it’s text has been altered over time. It’s your desperate need to hide a rebellious and diseased heart behind prejudice and misunderstanding.
