  If most ordinary people were educated to the number of instances of armed self-protection that occur in this country every day, they would have a drastically different view of responsible firearm ownership. This is just another example of that. There is a great section in American Rifleman magazine called “The Armed Citizen” that catalogues many but not all of these that occur monthly. Look it up if you haven’t, you will quickly realize how many people defend are forced to themselves and their families with a firearm. Of course we never hear of the successful self-protection in the MSM, but we do hear constantly about the number of shootings occurring in areas where overly strict gun laws keep responsible citizens from being able to defend themselves from armed CRIMINALS (i.e. New York this past weekend). I thank God that I live in a state that respects my right to responsibly protect myself with a firearm option.
