‘Hatfields and the McCoys’: Cops Arrest Ron Paul Backers in Missouri Caucus Chaos

@RAZORHUNTERS
Didn’t mean to post reply to WestCoast under your thread.
But, I’ll hit you back and keep posting. I read everything. What I don’t yet see is endgame. If you see me on a board and I’m asking something, I’m asking. Catch you later.

@West Coast Patriot
I understand your point, but out of context in this instance, no. I understand the supporters of Paul have the goal to find a way to get him the nomination. It appears the tact is by any means necessary. What I witnessed Saturday was the worst kind of performance art street theater you’d expect from the most ignorant (uneducated), single issue voter. The Romney people who think they made a deal with the Paul supporters are clueless to believe they would be part of ANY delegate sharing in the end and yet they did. What resonates is the impression that for many Paul folks at this event,they were present for the cause du ‘jour and a discussion of fiat currency would leave them with little to say. We’re not talking passion or righteous indignation, and of this I am well schooled. Now what we’ll end up with is some frigging compromise that suits the Romney folks and the Paul and Santorum people the least. That’s the outrage.

@West Coast
I do not consider myself to be anti-Paul as I do anti-Paul supporters. Paul was my number one for a time; also like and support Rand a great deal.

@WEST COAST PATRIOT
Sorry West Coast, not in this instance, I cite Paul supporter, arrestee and GOP committee man Brent Stafford. He writes at the Daily Paul, there you will find his own synopsis. I dispute some of what he says, but he does in fact say…”We had prepared very well ahead of time. I won’t get into all of the details, but the Mitt Romney people agreed to support me for Chairman. This was an incredible vote of confidence in my ability to chair and to convene a fair process.” His words, not mine. In addition at the Jefferson County (Missouri) caucus, the story (unsupported third hand through thread at Breitbart) is that they attempted the same thing and would “take care” of the Romney people later. In other words not keep their bargain.

So an attempt to engage you in a thoughtful exchange is met with insult. Just a thought, your grammar and word choice are interesting. You strike me as a poser. I’ll not waste my time further.

A question, can you source this comment you posted by Mr. Strafford

You make many assumptions as far as where my loyalties lay. Certainly not with party; and only with republic. Name calling doesn’t prove anything, and frankly I’m uninterested. You speak in generalities in riddles. Yeah, I too have knowledge of NWO, but your statement about the “we” “not allowing” the election to be “hi-jacked by BS shill” ??
Please explain…what is end game of shutting down a caucus? How do the American people gain?

@YOUDIDTHIS
HUH??? If you want to talk about rules, the way Missouri is typically run is you have a primary and the results are binding. Paul still loses, Romney still loses. The RNC is who is driving this bus trying to shove their guy through.
What the local GOP is trying to deal with is ensuring that NO ONE takes over the caucus. Over 1000 people showed up Saturday to do what they believed is right and participate in the process and support the person they voted for the primary.
Their reward was a wasted morning and being targeted by Alinsky styled tactics to infringe on their right to peacably assemble and NOT be shouted down and NOT to be robbed of what is their right to exercise their free vote and opinion. The Paul people were NOT the defenders of freedom on Saturday THEY were the oppressors.
If you want truth it is this; Saturday’s event was an orchestrated, deliberate attempt to prevent Rick Santorum from receiving the allocated portion of the delegates. The fact Team Paul cozied up to Team Romney shows how despicable both sides in this situation truly are. So, please no lecture about rules, the local GOP guy standing on a chair outside declaring follow me, follow me, and trying to get a covert vote to take place while declaring the GOP guy inside is illegitimate — really? You want BS shill, do some research who gains from this? Who benefits from this caucus getting blown up?

The purpose of this first round was to select a caucus chairperson, secretary, delegates, etc. After the rules of the caucus, specifically the allocation of delegates would then be determined, and other procedural issues. There would be a second district convention in April to vote/bound to a candidate, then June the state convention to select delegates for the National.
We were not able to get to this point. After a brief point of quiet (after the police), the GOP chair did attempt to accept nominations for the caucus and yes, did in fact try to move things along. BUT…prior to this occuring, he was again unsuccessful in calling the meeting to order. Prior to the Paul and Romney organizers had determined they were going to work together to take over the caucus.There were “rules” distributed to some of the caucus goers which were not the GOP chairman’s INITIAL set of rules in place as the initial attempt to call the meeting to order. An announcement to this fact was made at meeting.
The reason people were arrested (and this did not need to occur) was they attempted to reconvene outside after adjournment, refused to disperse AND the guy arrested is GOP committe guy who was trying to get the caucus chair nomination (Paul guy).
The Paul people shot themselves in the foot because they “may” have had an opportunity to get the chair, had they not acted with such hostility immediately after the GOP attempted to open the meeting.

@Tigan
Also, I stated that the slogans being chanted by the Paul people were idiotic. Transparency of course is not. While my typing may need some help, I am clear in my meaning. Please double check for clarity before popping off any further accusations.
