  • There is a big difference between OWS and RP supporters. In fact, the two groups are polar opposites. OWS wants everyone to get a free paycheck, a large government (perhaps even a one-world government)…I want none of the above.

Dont get upset with us because we do not put the GOP ahead of the country. I believe in country and liberty first. I will not support a candidate just because they have an R by their name, that is a big part of the problem…this is not a football game.

That being said, although I do want RP to get the nomination, I am practical enough to know that this isn’t going to happen. I will NEVER vote for Santorum, but I think I can get behind Romney…at least he seems to be a supporter of the 10th amendment, and will be more fiscally sane than Obama and Santorum.

  • Anyone who supports Rick Santorum cannot possibly love liberty or prosperity. He is the most non fiscally conservative running, and he supports big government. It sickens me above all else that he has any support at all.

I do not disagree that the Ron Paul crowd can get a bit out of line at time, but the only REAL reason any of you are anti Paul and his supporters is that you only want government cut if it does not effect you. You want your programs and your handouts. You only want liberty if you are not offended by another persons action. The country was a much better place when everyone remembered that it is a right to be offended.

Rick Santorum is just as dangerous as Obama, but at least America knows what Obama’s plan is. Everyone is blinded by Santorum because he has an R by his name.

If anthropogenic CO2 is indeed responsible for climate change, then explain to me where all the CO2 came from during the Cretaceous. The ONLY accurate fact about climate change is that the climate (and the amount of atmospheric CO2) has changed many many times throughout Earth’s history. Even in the day of computers we do not have the modeling capability to accurately model the Earth’s climate. There are way to many variables.

Also, the amount of H2O that was emit is much higher than the amount of CO2. Many believe that H2O vapor actually acts as a negative feedback which produces a net cooling…

The amount of atmospheric CO2 is very very small, it is a trace gas, only 0.039% of total atmosphere which is about 17,000,000,000,000 km^3. There is a word for numbers this small, negligible.

I am not even saying that CO2 isn’t a greenhouse gas. because it is…there is just no way that we can significantly contribute to this.

  • The Sun is always responsible for our climate, not just during times of climate change. There are other factors that can influence sun, such as small changes in the Earth’s tilt, but even that is dependent on the Earths relationship to the Sun. The power of man is insignificant to the power of the forces of nature.

    @ACHAMELEON

I am not trying to pick a fight, but the moon’s position is not a planned event. It’s position with respect to the Earth is continually changing, this is due to the inertial forces between the Earth and the Moon. The Moon is actually drifting away from the Earth by about 4 cm per year.

The future of America along with all of our liberty is doomed to failure. Not only because of the oppressive agenda of the left wing progressives, but because of the radical Christians and their belief that the country and the world should be policed by their moral code. In the end, our loss of freedom and dignity will be the combined efforts of the far left and the radical Christians. My suggestions to the radical Christians: Get off your pedestals and leave judgment to God.

What happened to these children is terrible and stories like this make me sick, but there is nothing we can do to fix this… My bigger fear is that you allow this to one day happen to the people in America that you disagree with.

  • The anti-science rhetoric by the religious zealots has been around for a long time…

    Just an example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giordano_Bruno

But I am torn, I appreciate the importance of religion as it pertains to our rights being natural…we are much less likely to let our government take away from us our freedoms when they come from God (although we haven’t been to successful in the fight over the last 100 years or so).

As history tends to repeat itself, we have to be mindful of the religious zealots as well…They have certainly proven in the past that they have an unquenchable thirst for power. They strongly believe that we should only be free to live our lives as they see fit. Many here on The Blaze have clearly demonstrated their close-mindedness, and their willingness to cast-away and condemn those that they disagree with. This is exactly why I fear a President Santorum, as he will certainly add countless amendments to our constitution……

  • The anti-science rhetoric on this website blows my mind. I have no problem with people questioning ideas, but to blindly hate all things science is absurd. Most of the ideas that you are mocking so heavily are easily supported by mathematics. If you are truly so anti-science, what are you doing on a computer? You should give up all things science, move out of your house and back into a cave. However, you cannot hunt with spears because they were also a development of science. You can either forge for berries or wait for your free handout from God.

But this isn’t the way it should be…

There is room for both God and science in the hearts and mind of man.

  • @LESBIAN PACKING HOLLOW POINTS

I can see no logic for mental retardation alone being a reason to keep somebody off the wait list. Only life threatening diseases should prevent somebody from getting on this list, and never should the voluntary donation by a friend or relative be denied by a hospital.

you said “A mentally retarded person’s life is not worthless, but when measured in the harsh calculus of organ transplantation with another person’s life, another person not mentally retarded with a higher probability of a successful, non-rejected, transplant and recovery to lead a more productive life than the mentally retarded person could, then yes, the mentally retarded person’s life is worth less (two words, not one).” —This IS eugenics.

Intelligence should not be in the equation, should an IQ test be required to get on a donor list? Should we have to prove our worth to society first? Organs are such a rare commodity that maybe only the upper class should be considered. Anybody can serve burgers, so we should save organs for politicians, doctors, and scientists right? You said it: One persons life is “worth less” than another persons life.

I am sure you also agree with this: “all animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Clearly you find it easy to judge another’s worth.

  • The answer to your question is simple, if there are two people who need an organ, said organ should go to the first person on the waiting list. It is not our job or the job of the Dr. to decide who will contribute more to society and thus be more deserving of a transplant.

You sound a little bit like George Bernard Shaw when he said “We should find ourselves committed to killing a great many people whom we now leave living… A part of eugenic politics would finally land us in an extensive use of the lethal chamber. A great many people would have to be put out of existence simply because it wastes other people’s time to look after them.”

  • The animal marriage and pedophilia argument is insane and holds no merit. For one, I don’t care if you marry your dog…2 pedophilia will never ever be excepted by the people.

I can create an insane argument too, in favor of the fact that christian fundamentalists are big government socialists… It starts out by using the courts and the federal government to regulate our lives, saying that gay marriage and the perverseness of people is destroying America so gay marriage should be constitutionally banned. Over time, we are still perverse and adultery is on the rise…so we ban bright colors, and perfumes that turn us on. But this doesn’t help because our significant others are going nuts over muscle bound athletes of the opposite sex, so we ban working out. And all competition must end because the winners are able to commit adultery more easily than the losers. Soon we are all walking around in a socialist utopia where nobody is offended, and every aspect of everybody’s life is %100 equal.
