  • A sad commentary on our society and our educational system. No logic or critical thinking, just, I want; therefore I should get.

  • Election time is coming, time to throw Bernanke under the bus! It isn’t the Federal Reserve Krugman is blaming, it is Bernanke. They don’t want to get rid of the Fed, just some scapegoat.

  • Funny to eat your dog, animal cruelty to let your dog ride in a secured carrier on top of your car….makes sense to me – NOT!

  • Was the early church communist?

Nice timing, I just had this ‘discussion’ with a visiting Priest who used these exact verses to demonstrate that capitalism was evil and not embraced by the early church. He really wasn‘t interested in ’hearing’ anything I tried saying. I will be printing this and sharing it with him, maybe if he can read it in a quiet space the Holy Spirit will enlighten him. Please pray for our spiritual leaders who have been led astray by the lies of the evil one.

  • Couple things I am thinking about…
We have watched the media spin the news to fit the viewpoint of this administration from it’s inception. The governing agencies have basically looked the other way with the sometimes outright untruths the media has presented as facts. Is it possible the ‘powers to be’ that are controlling the media have coerced this spin only to use it to their advantage when they are ready to shut it all down? We have long recognized the left‘s desire to shut down any media that doesn’t spew their spin…but now they are hanging their ‘friends’ who have been complicit out to dry. Kind of like a media “fast and furious” play.

  • Herein lies the beauty of capitalism! If you see a need, fill it! A company should not be forced to do anything…and yes I mean in hiring, firing, selling, buying, etc. If you think the company has unfair or unreasonable practices, make it known to the public, start a better company and run ‘em out of business. I personally would feel the same way as the T-shirt company…it is a risk they take to decline work because of their beliefs. I was impressed that they found another company to do the job for the same price. I don‘t understand why a group of people would want to do business with someone who doesn’t want to do business with them. Move on, spend your dollars as you see fit. Oh, and yes, I would be perfectly fine with a T-shirt company ran by a gay entrepreneur saying they don’t want to put their name brand on something anti-gay. Wouldn’t blame them a bit…think they’re wrong, but I would defend their right to make that decision as well.

  • Thank you Stacy, you are representing the perspective of the individuals whose religious convictions are being violated. The public outcry has largely been focused on our Churches, which is wonderful and important, but how about all the faithful business owners and individuals that are being mandated as well? United we stand, divided we fall!

  • How incredibly sad and heartbreaking this woman’s thoughts and words are. I must share a story…One of my Aunt’s ( a devout Christian) prayed nightly for her oldest daughter and her husband (a child psychologist and a doctor) to conceive a child as they had been trying for a few years. One evening during her prayers, Auntie said God spoke to her (he had never done so in such a clear and concise way prior to this evening) and told her that her daughter’s child was conceived that evening. Auntie was so excited she jumped out of bed and counted out 40 weeks and marked the calendar…and then she waited for her daughter to share the news. Months went by with no news or any visible signs of a pregnancy. She became quite irritated with God for having put her on this emotional roller coaster and told HIM so. A year later her daughter decided to adopt from Columbia. They adopted twin boys and when they received the paperwork their birthdate was the day Auntie had marked on the calendar! God knew from the moment of conception who the parents of those boys would be! I can’t help but wonder how many parents and their children have not been united because of the abortions that the biological parent had. These boys are not 25, love their mom and dad and are ever so grateful for the life, love and family that God prepared for them. Peace to all…remember hatred is always destroyed by love!

  • They appear as zealots because of the lies we have been fed for 40 years. This is truth. When some children ran from the room crying they were simply expressing the emotion that many of us adults feel as well. The thought of humans slaughtering their babies makes me want to run away and cry as well! I heard the truth spoken with love. I did not hear hatred or fanaticism. The truth is only ugly because of the lies that have been allowed to perpetuate for far too long now. Sometimes life is horrible and tragic. Should we just hide our heads in the sand and pray it goes away?

  • Anyone surprised?
