Ironically-Named ‘Smart Meters’ Prove to Be a Dumb Idea
November 6, 2011 at 9:19pm
I want to keep my freedom to choose. And yes, because of my biology background, I believe smart meters may be dangerous. I go out of my way to avoid wireless technology. I don’t want to be forced to have wireless transmitting smart meters on my home.

I can‘t tell which side you’re on. Ignorant for not wanting smart meters? Ignorant for just going along with what you’re forced to do? Or what? What’s a maroon?

“”The EMF from electrical cables in your house is so small, it would be hard to even detect amidst the blaring noise of TV signal transmissions, cell phone transmissions, wireless internet transmissions, solar radiation, wireless xbox controller transmissions, or the noise created by running your microwave oven. And even those common forms of household EMF radiation are completely safe and don’t cause any adverse health effects.”"”
The insane logic that everybody uses…that just because you’re already exposed to EMFs…then adding more EMFs running 24 hours a day doesn’t count.
With that kind of logic no wonder the world is so crazy. I don’t mean just you…everybody talks this way these days. REALLY ! It’s like anti-logic.
I don’t have a cell phone, microwave, cable TV and a lot of that kind of junk.
I do have a meter that measures EMFs. You can say they EMF’s are safe all you want. But through the years more than 2000 studies have shown they definitely affect the function of living cells.
In a resting state cells maintain a positive charge outside the cell membrane and a negative charge inside the cell. This is both an active and passive action. Cells communicate and function using electricity and chemistry. They reverse the the charge across the membrane .
AMERICANS BEING FORCED to allow this invasive intrusive dangerous thing on to their homes is crazy. And THREE ( 3 ) smart meters on all our homes….water, gas, electricity.

” EMF (which is actually the acronym for Electro-Motive-Force i.e. voltage) ”
EMF, electromagnetic field is created when and electric circuit flows through a conductor.
I don’t know what the relationship is between the two “EMF’s” Do you?
I don’t have cable TV. Don’t own a microwave. I don’t use fluorescent bulbs.
I like being able to choose to say “NO” to some of this junk.
I‘m voluntarily exposed to some EMF’s for part of the day. Right now I’m on the computer.
That is no excuse for the government / utilities / or corporations to be able to
force this stuff one me against my will when I don’t want it and believe it to be harmful.
The effects of EMF’s are probably dose dependent….just because what you are exposed to now isn’t doing immediate damage…does not mean adding
24 hour “EMF and RF emitting Smart meters is harmless
or that Americans should be forced to allow it.
Where did our freedom go?
I’m new to forums and messed up when I tried to reply to you before…I think I put my reply on “report post”. Yes, what a genius I am. ha ha
