  This study just showed that people that weren’t religious were motivated by more by emotion than a religious person when it came to donations. Doesn’t quell the fact that religious people tend to donate more money and time but they see this more as an obligation to God and their Church. I can tell you as a person of faith and as Mormon, I give a lot of money away each month but most the feeling is diverged from my duties…this doesn‘t mean I don’t feel for the people.
