  Kaine is running for the Senate against George Allen, therefore, he has no choice but to split from Obama on this issue. He had no problem siding with Obama and defending Obama Care. He’s just a pragmatic politician and will do whatever it takes to get elected.

  I wish the Bishops had been this vocal when the Catholic Church supported ObamaCare. During the ObamaCare debate my Church, St. Thomas More of Sarasota FL, added universal healthcare to the Prayer of the Faithful. During the 2008 elections, while my husband and I were placing pro-life leaflets on the cars parked at the Epiphany Cathedral in Venice Florida during the early morning Mass, we were admonished by parishioners to get out and stop dividing the faithful. I would have never thought that being pro-life would have been a divisive issue in the Catholic Church. It seems to me that both the Catholic Bishops and the American Catholics in general are reaping what the sowed.

  I am a Catholic and was appalled that my church included universal healthcare in the Prayer of the Faithful during the ObamaCare debate. During the 2008 election my husband and I were run out of the parking lot of the Venice, FL Cathedral while we were putting pro-life leaflets in the parked car. We were told that we were being “Divisive”! Now the Catholic Church is reaping what they sowed. The Catholic Church, especially the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and their “social justice” crowd, supported ObamaCare. Now they are complaining and trying to mobilize us…I say too little too late!

  I do not support Newt Gingrich because I‘ve followed his career since the 1990’s and found him to be difficult and undependable. He is a great debater but he doesn’t have a moral compass. I would rather have a less “conservative” — and that‘s debatable considering that Gingrich pronounced the ’era of Reagan” over, sat with Nancy and put down Paul Ryan’s ideas — but a man like Romney who has a moral compass and and has been a successful governor. I also think that Rick Santorum is a much better person and a better candidate than Newt Gingrich.

  Gloria Allread is the John Edwards “ambulance chaser” of sexual harassment suits. The woman is a publicity hound and she contributes to the low opinion “We The People” have of the legal profession.

  We have been trying to fight these textbooks in Sarasota for over a year but our School Board refuses to do anything about it.
