Judge Says Occupy DC Campers Must Be Given Fair Warning Before They’re Evicted
February 1, 2012 at 3:39pm
The first amendment provides for freedom speech. It does not provide for pitching tents, setting up provision camps, flophouses, public elimination or any of the other myriad ‘rights’ these cognitively challenged fools claim.
Where cities went wrong is in allowing this to happen in the first place. Simply put, they should be allowed to protest there as long as they want 24/7 but there is to be no camping, food preparation, erection of structures etc. You can stand out there with your sign shouting as much as you want, but thats it. Once you begin to camp, cook, defecate, urinate, litter, have sex, etc etc, you are in violation of the law and should be hauled away. THAT is the 1st amendment.
That said, I‘m glad the movement happened because it opened alot of people’s eyes to idiotic beliefs and the uncivilized nature of the radical left. Whether you like the Tea Party or not, they never behaved like this and their movement and rallies were much much larger. It’s a good thing that the left got to see the least among them in such high definition.
Did You Read About the Shrewd Move the Ron Paul Camp Pulled Last Night?

You have to understand that the Powers That Be are there to undermine ideas like Ron Paul’s at every turn. They can’t have a shrinking government because that means shrinking power. They can’t have any shackles placed on the FED or any inquisitions into their activity because that puts kinks in their financing. The American people (and the world for that matter) have fallen into the same trap they always fall into its just that this time its on a much, much larger scale.
They love to use the media and their surrogates to ‘get the word out’ that Ron Paul and those like him are ‘nuts’. It is said so many times and in so many ways that it becomes ‘popular truth’ amongst the sheep. Most people have not the capacity nor the desire to critically analyze complex issues to arrive at the truth on their own. They are also afraid of being seen as a supporter of a ‘nut’ or a losing candidate. They feel more comfortable running with the crowd, especially if the ‘smart’ people are saying its the thing to do. This is just the nature of men. There are brief periods of enlightenment that occur once in a great while where there are enough willing to think for themselves that real and meaningful change can take place. Hopefully we can arrive at such a time soon.
Just to put it out there…does anyone notice how Iran‘s ’belligerent defiance’ always seems to flare up at convenient moments? Whenever the doctrine needs a boost its nice to have a boogeyman handy…

Let me let you in on a little secret. Russia wants in on the little global currency cartel thats been running these last decades. The only problem is, they don’t want to play second fiddle. Too much pride in ol’ Putin I guess. He may come around some day. China has joined the fold. Perhaps you should take a look at the FED member banks.
Ron Paul is BAD for Russia and China and many others as he wants to undermine this little cartel as best he can. I’m not sure he could do much and survive, but my hats off to him.
Your little snarky comments on the ‘druggies’ are a symptom of THE major problem with republicans and many ‘conservatives’. You are far too worried about what other people are doing. Do you really think that should drugs be decriminalized that hordes of current non drug users will suddenly flood the streets like frothing zombies out to get high then break into your house and force you to have ‘gay relations’? Newsflash for ya, 99% of people who want to use drugs are usin’ em. I’m willing to risk that 1% startin up when the law changes. Hey, maybe then it would be as hard for kids to buy drugs as it is to for them to buy alcohol now. Drugs are everywhere, they have to work for the booze.
I have never taken drugs in my life, nor have I been drunk. This is my choice. I’m willing to let others be free to live as they wish so long as they afford me the same. If it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg…have at it.

The whole Iran/nuke story is a diversion. If we were really interested in war with Iran we have plenty of justification. They are state sponsors of terror organizations that have attacked us (proven). They build IED’s that kill our soldiers (proven). They fight proxy wars against us. They have kidnapped our citizens. They have engaged in espionage against us. They said they want to destroy us. SO if you want to fight Iran, are these reasons not good enough for you? Does the threat have to be some 1940′s era nuclear device to rile you up? Iran is just a tool to use against you to keep you distracted and curry popular support for more spending and more foreign aid and more setting up of new central banks in other countries to tie them to ours and pull them into the currency cartel.
Things in the world are so ridiculous I wouldn’t even be surprised if the Iranian regime was installed by the powers that be to be a tool in their arsenal against individual liberty. The fact that I can even consider that as possible makes me sad. It truly is like we’ve fallen into the twilight zone.

I really wish all you fearful people would stop and think for a minute. If you are so damned afraid of Iran getting a nuke then why haven’t you been crying out for war all these years? You do realize that if Iran gets a nuke it doesn’t mean we are suddenly faced with a new USSR? They will have a couple or a few very low yield devices that they won’t even know work if they do not test them. They can’t launch them at us. They won‘t even launch them at Israel as it it is too unlikely it would hit the target and they can’t risk that. They would have to haul them in manually.
The nuclear genie is long free from the bottle. Are you going to go around the globe and destroy everyone that might want a bomb? You’d better get going, there are MANY working on or wanting a bomb currently.
Are you SO worried about what everyone else is doing in the world that you would let your own house burn? How many presidents now have said ‘we can’t allow Iran to have a nuke’. Now how many have done anything about it? Exactly. Nada. If anything is to be done it will be Israel which is entirely appropriate seeing how they are the ones in the crosshairs. Israel has hundreds of nukes, real nukes not little firecracker bombs that might have the yield sufficient to be used as a trigger on one of ours.

Baikonur,
All great religions come under assault by darkness. It is the nature of things and at one time it was Christianity. Currently it is Islam. The hatred coming from that religion is far more widespread than a ‘few isolated militants’. Just look at the polls taken of how the people on the street feel about any number of issues. Are there lots of wonderful muslims who are people of peace and love? Sure, but how often do you hear them speak out against the others? Exactly. You would have trouble counting on two hands those that do. Thats not very many people out of a billion+…I see no reason to defend Islam, it will stand or fall on its own merit.

Dudley,
Ronald Reagan was one of our greatest presidents even though he believed strongly in intervention. It is akin to having a benevolent monarch. Such an individual can do great things and propel society forward, but what do you do when that monarch dies? Succession is always the downfall. Since Reagan, the interventionalists have used his success as justification for the doctrine. Unfortunately they are not Reagan and do not have his wisdom, strength, restraint or insight. One can disagree with the doctrine but applaud the result if it is a good one. Unfortunately for our country most of the time it is a failure- an expensive failure.

Dudley, lets not argue for a second over whether or not Ron Paul made/was aware of those remarks. Aside from the last part of the statement, which would be a minority of a minority of people, what about the ones before is not true? I’ve known quite a few gays and these attitudes are prevalent within the community, especially in young populations in cities like SF. To be fair, these are the same attitudes one often finds in young heterosexual men and if the women they sought were of the same mind the results would be similar. Just take a look at STD rates amongst the young these days and you’ll see it is becoming similar.
Saying the baby is ugly might be crass, but it doesn’t make it untrue. Ron Paul says it like it is and I find it refreshing in a politician.

Furthermore, its a win for the powers that be as it justifies interventionalism and massive military spending abroad as well as being a blunt political tool. Someday a nuke is probably going to go off in a city somewhere. It is all but inevitable. This was as sure in 1945 as it is today. That will be a sad day. Even if we took over the entire world and put xboxes in every home and Subways on every corner it would not prevent this from happening. Once you open Pandora‘s box there’s no going back. We can threaten, bribe and crusade all we want but the threat is still there. We can destroy every single nuclear device on the planet and it won’t end there. Actually that would make it more likely to happen, but you get the picture.
Trade with your friends. Smite your enemies mercilessly. This is foreign policy. Everything else is politics and politics blows with the winds of convenience. To quote Ben Franklin “Mind your business!” Good advice I think.
