  I have read too many comments attacking and defending Ron Paul with references to history that may or may not be correct. As to Iran, i believe there is a lot to consider here. Who or what nation is their greatest enemy? That would be the US. Who do they believe, possibly true, is the greatest terrorist nation int the world? That would be the US. It would stand to reason that if I were the President, dictator or whatever, of Iran I would seek the best possible defense machine possible to defend my country from their greatest enemy,
  The financiers that began the Soviet Union, communist nation were Americans (http://www.thehiddenevil.com/communists.asp). Our great government has finally released the evidence that Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen in order to get public support to enter into a war in a foreign land. I have questions as to whether we really should have been in either war.
  As to Viet Nam, the government finally admitted that the attack on the USS Cole was a hoax.
  There are a number of concerns as to whether the attack on the Twin Towers was truly a terrorist attack or a created event to get us into Afghanistan and Iraq. Why did building 7 collapse in the same manner as the twin towers? Please don’t get me wrong it was a drastic event that costs American lives and put us into another “War on Terrorism” action.
  I am afraid it is too late to return to the country our forefathers would be proud of. There are too many emotionally retarded personalities now

  I am finding it quit difficult to believe that free thinking Americans cannot see past the media hipe. Unemployment is still at a record High. It has taken me years to discover that the rules for unemployment rate established by our individual states and the Federal government, is very inaccurate.

  The only people that are counted are NEW applications. Those that have dropped off or failed to submit their applications on time are not counted. Those that have secured part time employment at a reduced rate of income are NOT counted.

  Wow! The American way has been denigrated to name calling and grouping. It is not capitalism that is under attack. It is our elected leaders that has made it possible for corporations to exhume exorbitant amount of profits on the back of the working class. State facts not labels and name calling.

  It is amazing at peoples inability to see beyond themselves. Have you been told how to cook a live frog?
  If you drop it into hot water it will just jump out. You place your live frog in a pot with cold water and turn the heat on slowly. The frog will cook before it realizes its cooked. Or the Asian story of death by a thousand cuts. Each cut is insignificant and tolerable but soon becomes more difficult and intolerable.That is exactly what has happened to us Americans over the past 100 years. Let us be reasonable people and except a small cuts in our rights for protection and loss of freedoms.

  Shutting down the ports is and will always be difficult and unfair to the workers. Apparently the only way to get our leaders and the corporate moguls attention is to effect their pocket book. With a tremendous unemployment population and severe poverty level we as a people need to hold these ripoff artists accountable.

  We trusted our legislators to pass rules and regulations to protect the common folk and they have betrayed us. Every legislator that voted for the lax rules and regulations that drove our economy into the ground should be replaced without question. Every legislator that voted for the so called stimulus package that only stimulated the wealthy, so called to big to fail, corporations should be removed and replaced. The Idea that it is better to deal with the devil we know than the one we don’t is ludicrous.

  I love the defense mind, “They are just doing their job”. Tell that to the guards at Auschwitz afte the war that were convicted of war crimes for “just doing their job.”

  There must be some form of common sense to that job.

  Then we hear “if I don’t do it they will fire me and just find someone else to do it.”
