Is best to allow your scenario, if plausible, to play itself out. We are not there yet. Most are ready, if needed, to protect their liberties. Your call to arms makes you look shallow and weak minded. It took the commies 100 years to get this far. It will take @ least twenty years of alert citizenry to completely erase it.   KOZ. I get your points. Ron Paul’s base is not big enough to make him electable. I like Cain, and am in the same boat as you regarding base. Would you prefer socialism? The key is congress. I say, vote against socialist progressives, and make a step in the right direction. We need a group of people willing to turn back the oppressive regulations that have been put in place under the current administration. This is not a D or R thing. It’s a US thing

  You are blinded by your emotions. Emotions are a feeling. To mix your emotions with your thoughts creates a non objective opinion. Think objectively with your brain and you will see that you have been played for a fool. Try looking into some non-revisionist history. Hopefully it is not to late for you.

  @ Dtom, Would you vote for RP knowing it would be a wasted vote? If so, are you willing to except the result of your decision and jeopardize the loss of rights that would result in such a self serving vote for the sake of “making your point”? I consider myself to be very objective, and I respect your position, but our country is at the edge of a crumbling cliff. If you have to choose, will you choose partially obstructed liberty or total socialism? Sorry, but this will ultimately be the only choices you have.

  Not to say it is unimportant, but if the focus were taken off of the SSI issue and placed on the economic issue the latter may make the former more effectively manageable. Take your eye off the bouncy ball put in front of us and look at the behind the scenes regulations that are strangling our prosperity at every turn. This is compounded by the Feds monetizing our debt which is compounded by the use of corn as a fuel. This administration has created the perfect storm for U S failure. SSI won’t matter if we continue down the path we are on.

  IMO These two are both establishment RINO’s Why else would our objective media portray them as the front runners for nomination? Equal time for “non-establishment” candidates would be nice. Cain and Bachman are being over shadowed by this circus of “top contenders”. We ‘much’ be lead to the pasture of liberalism under the guise of conservatism. Come on sheeple. Are we going to be led along like ignorant children again?
