  • I believe unemployment figures are based on the number of people reported receiving unemployment benefits – as time passes the people who have been unemployed the longest are dropped from the benefit list. These figures would not include the number of people who were not eligible for unemployment or the people who’s benefits ran out prior to the extensions being granted. Like all statistical data, if you are not happy with the numbers keep working on them a method will develop to show the stats you are looking for.

Thank you Mr. Buckles and God Bless.

  • It is time the politicians followed the example the American people are setting – forget the “party lines” and vote as the constituents are asking them to vote. There are currently two “health care” programs funded by us and run by the government that are out of control – Medicare and Medicaid – and if you add the financially crippled Social Security program to this list, the faith once placed that the government would “take care of us” has been eradicated. I believe the time for debate and formation of committees for this issue is over. Just a few months ago the chant was “Kill the Bill”. Now it should be “Repeal the Deal”.

  • Thank you sir, for the way you carried yourself while in office and the way you continue to be respectful of the office you once held. You are missed.

  • I just read a response from somebody who said “They made the decision to go all natural…”. Good for you, you made the decision. Yet you think the government should tell the rest of us what is good and not good for us? Over the years there have been many “studies” on various items that we ingest and it depends on the mindset at the time whether they are harmful or beneficial. The main thing is, I want to decide whether I ingest these items or not. I do not need a government entity telling me what I can or cannot ingest. Will the next thing be you cannot drive a car that was made in America because the ones made in Japan are safer? And you cannot buy clothes from KMart because there was a study that found the clothes sold in WalMart are cheaper? Where does it end?

  • I have been reading a lot of articles from many different institutions and listening to taped interviews from various shows. I’m concerned about the number of so-called journalists that call Americans (because that is what we all are) names for not agreeing with their point of view. The only racist comments I have found seem to come from the organizations and people who do not like the fact that “mainstream” Americans have become vocal and are working to stop this growth of government. Well, call us what you want, I am proud to be American and living in a country where I still have the freedom to voice my disagreement about the President of this country without being thrown out like has happened in Uzbekistan and many other countries. This reminds me of the children in school who lashed out in retaliation because somebody was smarter than they were or had more than they did. Grow up and become responsible for yourself.

  • I continue to be amazed at the number of people who have jobs in the entertainment field, who are not out here with the rest of us, can sit their and with such conviction profess how the rest of us think.

  • Ten years ago officials had no problem sending a six year old boy back to Cuba despite the conditions he would be returning to. Guess he would not have cost the taxpayers enough money – this woman seems to want to suck the system dry. Since she is still considered illegal, I take it she does not consider this home. Why not exercise our rights, put her on Air Force One (we are already paying for that) and send her home?

  • Interesting that the very industry that invokes the 1st Amendment do not follow it.
