  If it was true Christian based holiday it would be in summertime and not in winter. December 25 was chosen so that pagans that were converted to Christianity would have an easier time changing, since the 25 is close to the Winter Solstice. And the way Christmas is currently celebrated it is more honoring toy manufacturers and the like.

  Actually Christmas is NOT an American tradition. The Puritans who founded America banned the holiday because of the pagan/Roman Catholic roots it has. The holiday was later legalized again when the Puritans lost power.

  The wreaths and garlands are leftovers from when the Christians were trying to convert pagans over to Christianity. Even the date is leftover from that as it is close to the Winter Solstice which is a day of celebration for pagans. I’m pretty sure that the modern depiction of Santa Claus is also taken from the pagans, but I am not completely certain of this.

  You are aware that if we did jail all of them, we would still be providing them with free electricity, heat, and three square meals a day. All of that would be paid with TAX dollars as well, your option is most ways worst than what the mayor of L.A. is offering them since it would overcrowd our jails and make it so that real criminals would walk free.

  You know unless you are within the top 1% you are in the 99% regardless of if you want to be or not. So saying 99% LOSERS is also calling yourself a loser as well. Just thought you would want to know that fact.

  If people were well-trained and followed safety laws, like any citizen should, the car companies would be able to get rid of the extra weight of the brakes and most of the extra weight in safety features. Also if you were to keep your car maintained, like one should, the odds of you having a random flat would become almost zero. Engineers have been doing math on that kinds stuff for a while now, they have it down to a science and they build the vehicles with certain life criteria that meets most peoples usage.
