  He is the Senate Majority Leader, elected by his fellow Democratic Senators to be their leader, so call your democratic senators and tell them you think its time for a new senate majority leader; the one they have selected is clearly bonkers. They are bonkers too to allow us to be led by such a nutjob.

  First off, to the author of this article Liz Klimas: I would like to have seen much more support for the thesis that both liberals and conservatives “seem to see their cause in the book”. As a conservative myself, I valued Katniss fight for her own independence and her ability to provide for herself and her family, even in the face of a repressive, dictatorial government. I was disappointed by the fact that the rebel forces have the same repressive, dictatorial government. I don‘t know if Susan Collins left out a government like America’s on purpose or because she herself doesn’t understand it. But I wanted a government that allows people to be free, like our constitution, to be talked about in the book. Instead I was left with the impression that freedom is always in opposition to all governments. That was very dissatisfying–Is Ms. Collins advocating anarchy? She lays out beautifully the problems and pitfalls of governments with too much power, and yet she provides no possible solutions.
  So what I want to know, and what the title of this article implied I would learn, is why do liberals like Hunger Games? I didn’t get a satisfactory answer to that question from the article.

  Dragging people behind trucks is what lynch mobs do. Leave that to the KKK and the mob. Real Americans and Christians don’t resort to stupid violence so easily. Do catch them and make them repair the damage done. Maybe they should buy new statues and the defaced ones can be put in the perpetrator’s yard.

  These bulbs (CFLs compact fluorescent lights) are being marketed as lasting 7-10 years, and that is believable because that is what the bigger 4 foot bulbs do, but these little curly cue things burn out just as fast as incandescents. I’ve replaced many in 6 -12 months. I want to sue for false advertising. Anybody know how to do that?
