Mr. Scarry, you’re exactly right. It was odd to me that Romney was beating the others based on what we see online.
and yes…There is alot of support for the others…Online…many are unheard of… offline
What we have to keep in mind is there are alot more people who are not engaged in politics and vote based what is repeated to them the most.
The media for the most part is overwhelmingly in support of Romney, and this shows in the results of the elections.
I guess what I’m saying is those of us interested in politics are not the only ones voting. There are many who are uninterested in politics, voting as well.
This happened in 08 but it was more of a celebrity thing.

  • The fact that someone on welfare has enough to gamble playing the lottery really proves there is a problem and that the whole system should be re-evaluated.

I agree, if you reward a particular behavior you get more of it and vice versa.
If more people would look at their vote as a reward or non vote as punishment, then this unacceptable behavior we are getting out of the GOP could be adressed.
Sure, another term for BHO would be bad but so would another media picked liberal with an R in front of his name to take the blame, do nothing, and continue this cycle.

I think the difference here is between generations. As part of the younger generation, I don’t expect to receive anything that gov is forcing me to contribute to. I just wish I would have enjoyed the time your generation had through the Reagan Bush and Clinton years and the opportunity to have braced for the future like you did. I’m not trying to be a victim, like you, but reality is reality. Your generation (generally speaking) slept under the covers of great opportunity while our country was being destroyed. Most baby boomers I know are ignorant when it comes to politics, but when it comes as a threat to their SS or medicare they become experts and point their finger haphazzardly at any reality or threat. Many in the younger generation want to opt out and accept the losses made by the bad decision your gen made. But if that comes as a threat to your entitlement, even though it’s not our responsibility, your gen won’t hear tell of it.
I think we just got to all work together, accept reality and try to fix the mess without all the blaming.

What her feelings??? Ok, that‘ll fix this mess we’re in… LOL
Made me gag too. I think most of you are missing Eddie’s point here.

  • Social issues are the least of my concern. Social issues are mainly based on opinion and trying to debate them is like a dog chasing its tail.
Gingrich pushing social issues to the back is a good thing in my mind.
It shows me that he has a sense of priority in these turbulent times.
Don’t get the Paul comment, Paul isn’t for abortion…
Romney, I don’t mind hearing a flip flopper getting called out, but it seems like more rhetoric instead of focusing on the real issues.
It’s almost like Santorum is grasping at straws here.
