  Every time I read one of these stories from the WP I hear scraping sounds in my head. I wonder to myself “they still haven’t reached the bottom of that barrel yet?” I guess when you are a uber-liberal paper you can just keep buy more barrels to scrape.

  While it is true that the victor writes the history, I have found that much of what I learned in school 45 years ago was basically true. As an American history buff I have collected over 200 books on US history, from text books to presidental papers, some over 100 years old. The recording of history is complicated. With the availablity of information via the internet we can easily fall into the trap of believing something we read on line. In researching a subject you might get 1000 hits from different sites but if you really look at the references they may only contain one or two sources. Bottom line,,,history CAN be very bias if you let someone else tell you what it is.

  Hall: “Listen, 50 years ago, I was a much tougher kid probably than Mitt Romney was in high school.” Interesting statement coming from someone born in 1970. This is much ado about nothing, my own older brothers don’t remember holding me down and cutting my hair when I was 18.

  I was awarded a bronze star in vietnam. I had a copy of my award when I returned. I was discharged shortly after. When I reenlisted 6 months later it was found that the award was never entered into my official military records. My copy was lost so I could never wear my award for the the next 17 years in the service. I worked at a VA hospital for 12 years and saw a lot of military who told a lot of lies about their military careers. With a little investigation the truth can always win out, however here were those who believed these and provided services to them they did not earn.

  There is one story on Blaze where a white couple is attacked by a mob of black “youth” and no one was charged after the police treated the victims poorly and now here is one where a taxi driver was under attack by a mob and while trying to flee he runs over one of the attackers. The driver is charged and “maybe” the one who was run over. Two different countries same dumbass justice system.
