  • What happens when they oppressed then become the oppressors? The belief (or non-belief) is a personal choice between you and your maker but in to many instances the religious beliefs of the individual seem to far out weigh the content of that persons character. Especially in mosern polotics where pandering to the religious is common.

Would you vote for an Atheist were he to share your political beliefs, the fundamentals of your religious beliefs, just not the belief in God? I know many here would not. That is sad because that is precisely the kind of things our founders were against

  • Have you read most of the posts on this board? Or the blaze in general? The Christian Community is constantly attacking the Atheist community (and vice versa). Whether it is the “silly monkey’s“ or the ”ignorant supernaturalists” both sides sound like elementary school children.

  • Things like this are sad.

First, polls are garbage. We are reminded of this everytime CNN, MSNBC, or most other leftist news media post one that tells us how much of the country is still in love with OBama. The fact that the blaze would then use one, targeted to a faith based audience is depressing. Of course polls like these are going to skew the results. Unless you can poll every individual in the country using simple wording, then all your poll shows is a sampling of your viewership, not society as a whole.

As for poll hijinks, look at how many polls say Ron Paul is going to win the white house during this and the last election. That’s part of the reason they are so faulty.

Next, Atheists like that professor irritate the heck out of me. It is men like that who through their non-belief feel they can then elavate themselves to god status that give the rest of us sane Atheists a bad name. To me there are 2 forms of Atheist. 1) Those who deny God and elevate themselves and 2) those who deny God yet still see just how small we are in the Universe. Don’t condemn us all because of the actions of fools like this who like to believe they are more than they really are.

If any of you sat in a room with me, I can be 100% certain that none of you would know I was Atheist in a political conversation. Why? Because I am a Conservative Republican. But being a Conservative doesn’t mean I have to be religious.

Some of oyu however need to get over your narrow views of who

  • @ berend

Why is it that to be Atheist automatically means I must be communist, marxist, or socialist? Especially given that the altruism born of those groups is closer to that of christianity which tells you to give to others, care for the weak or infirm, and to love thy neighbor.

  • First, the global warming hoax was perpetrated by the left. Not the scientific community. Just as many, if not more scientists debunked it as a hoax. Who do you think runs all the tests and simulations that determined it as a hoax? Joe Schmuck in his garage? Well guess what? That makes Joe Schmuck a scientist.

  • @CNTRLFRK

We could easily be well on our way to exploring Mars were it not for those who look to the heavens and see it as Gods domain and would choose to wallow down here in ignorance. So instead we cut funding to NASA which has provided some of the biggest breakthroughs in science and technology and instead blow that money on what? A social safety net that lets those in need fall through in order to support the lazy.

  • Have you ever read Red Son?

In it Supes learns that Stalins way is bad after seeing how such beliefs have to be implemented at the point of a gun, Bat-Man fights the evils of russian communism, and in the end American Society leads the world into the future.

    Horrid right?

Doesn’t Glenn always talk about learning for yourself?
