  No, Representative Pelosi, all the ‘healthcare’ law provides is higher taxes and more regulations. Our company has seen our health insurance skyrocket because of the act’s provisions.

  MNConservativeIndependent: did you not read the article? The owner had financial problems (as did many others). He had every intention of finishing, but paying the mortgage and feeding his family took priority. Would you have rather he lost his house entirely?

  And you’re right–it’s supposedly a symbolic resolution. It is not the job of the City Council (or others) to mandate who can say what on the radio. If they don’t like what is being said, why not just change the station? Write to the management. If you find it really bad, challenge the license when it comes up for renewal.

  Doesn’t the timing look really odd, considering that the Catholic Church is opposing the contraception mandate in the ‘healthcare’ law? If the Church has been cleared, why is JPMorgan closing the accounts?

  If the young lady is taking a trip, that’s fine for her. I do, however, object to two things:
  (a) the State Department issued a travel warning because of the violence. In light of that, why is she in Mexico?

  (b) WE are paying for those 25 Secret Service agents AND their airfare to Mexico. Why aren’t her parents paying for this?

  Unfortunately, we are stuck with her for a short while longer–only till November. It will be up to the people of her district (who keep sending her back to DC) to send someone else.

  The House holds the power of the purse. However, it takes both Houses of Congress to get a budget passed. The House did their part, but we haven’t had a budget since 2009. Because of Senate inaction, the government has been operating on continuing resolutions.

  This project needs to be halted immediately.

  I quite agree. Thankfully, this isn’t in California yet, and I hope it never gets here. I won’t buy from any gas station that uses this. There is no reason for me to be swiping my driver’s license before I use any form of payment.
