  • Sarah, you are becoming irrelevant. You had a brilliant opportunity handed to you, and blew it.

  • I agree. Santorum is the only honest (and not insane) fellow we have to choose from.
I was soo glad to see him point out that Mitt is weak on obamacare (a point not made much because Newt is weak too) as well as Newt because he was a supporter of the individual mandate (he says he was wrong now, but what does that tell you about his ideas of personal liberty before-did all of you Newt supporters realize he was one of the founding fathers of the individual mandate?).

Did the Newt supporters hear he favors a version of amnesty? He said so last night in the debate.

The attacks on Santorum of late by the Mitt and Paul people were truly disgusting, as Rick has been one of the very few truly conservative fellows you could ever count on in congress,

Romney is left of center on almost everything (or was until he wanted to run for president)
Newt has more skeletons than the Cook county morgue; and the recent attack will not be the last revelation of Newt impropriety.

  • Yeah, it is hard not to love the fireball.
The problem is he is unelectable in a general election.
His negatives run consistently in the double digits.
He supported man-made global warming and even was in ads with Nancy Pelosi
    He supported the individual mandate.
He supports a species of amnesty.
He has more skeletons in his closet than the Cook county morgue.
His pipe dream of lincoln-douglas style debates with obama will never happen.
He will loose part of the base because the Newt multiple adultery pill will be a pill many Republicans will not swallow.

  • Ron Paul should frighten you.
As should the zealots who praise the isolationist as the sole defender of the constitution.
I guess our past presidents, such as Thomas Jefferson, who dispatched marines to the fight muslims who were pirating our ships, failed to understand the wisdom of Ron Paul’s “brilliant” foreign policy notions.
This country has never been about one man (except perhaps Christ, the God-man, during the Christian era of the US), so when someone tells me that, “only so and so can save us,” I know they know nothing of importance.

  • Yes, I have it, the doctor should be god himself.
The problem with the abortion argument is the liberty interest of the child, who seems utterly ignored in your proposal. Your own argument has the statement “within the law,” concerning the practice of the doctor. The problem is, Roe overthrew laws in every state through fiat by a judicial oligarchy. I didn’t realize the libertarians are supporters now of judicial activism. Or is it just convenient to stand with the left and utilize the only tool they can use to promote their agenda.
The fraud of libertarianism is the basic level of incompatibility it has with the concept of civil government. You know, the idea of the consensus of the electorate defining what the community standards will be. So who decides what is off limits? Five unelected judges? Constitutionalism demands that what is not expressly stated as off-limits falls within the power of the states or the people themselves, who, express their will through elected officials. I have yet to hear an argument to advance these goals through democratic process. If you can convince a majority of the electorate of the wisdom of your ideas, and it is not off-limits through the constitution, then go for it.

  • Wow, I had no idea that this website had been overtaken by paulbots.
Tell me, is it the legalize weed, heroine, crack angle of his politics that appeals to you?
Perhaps that would explain the zealotry demonstrated.
The big lie concerning Santorum being a big government guy is absurd. He has the best record over twenty years of any of the conservatives. The lie is being parroted by the Romney/Paul/MSM coalition that all seem to have the same goal of nominating Romney. It might do some of you well to look up the term, useful idiots.
Ron Paul becomes a serious candidate and he will immediately fall into obscurity, as his record will send people running away. Perhaps it is more of what he has said and some of his positions more than his voting record itself.
The charade ends in the election booths, where his supporters cannot vote twenty times each in order to give the appearance of much broader support than he actually has.

  • Treason doth never prosper, for if doth prosper, then none shall dare call it treason.

  • Perhaps the left is suceeding in giving me a perception that I am only one of few, but I find Mr. Frank despicable! How my countrymen can be so blind to the TRUTH. Morality is not relative. It is defined by the same GOD who created us, and reflects his nature. In addition to HIS judgement that awaits, HE has installed into the natural realm various judgements as well that punish sin. Romans ch 1 explains the devolution of man rejecting GOD and it sheds light on where we are headed.
