  I think this discussion shows how our minds and our temporal existance is so different from that of God. It is hard for us to imagine that Castro or Jane Fonda could be found worthy in God’s eyes, but it is possible. It is a good example, with regard to our temporal existance and God’s eternal existance, of why we cannot understand many things such as war, a child’s death, etc. This is a good time for us to reflect on the fact that we are small and we are not the center of the Universe.

  I fly to Brazil on a regular basis (as an airline pilot). It is embarassing that all of the Third World airlines have the latest equipment with GPS; there we are in twenty+ year old airplanes without GPS. We have to explain to the Brazilian air traffic controllers that we cannot fly the GPS departures and arrivals, we have to fly the “old” ones. Often, with the language barrier, that can be an issue in itself.

  I hate to say it, because I have police in the family, however, I have noticed what appears to be an increase in police lying about incidents as of late. Perhaps it is a reflection of the culture or is it arrogance and the Police State? Perhaps it is the proliferation of surveillance?
