  My father was a Navy Corpsman attached to the Marines in the Pacific during WWII. He’ll be 92 this year. I was very pleased to learn that both he and my mother recorded a great deal of their remembrances of that time for the local University’s History project. My mother worked in McArthur’s HQ in Australia, which is where she met my father.

  Everyone who has relatives who served in ANY manner, in any of our conflicts, should urge them to record, video-tape, or even just write down what they remember so it’s not lost forever.

  I like his movies, but like Clooney, he hasn’t a clue about what real life is like. Both are great actors but exceptionally naive when it comes to anything else. These folks have a right to speak their minds, but I sure wish they’d just stick to acting instead.
