  • Do you guys know that France survived socialist government in the recent past? Francois Mitterrand was the 21st President of the French Republic and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra, serving from 1981 until 1995. He is the longest-serving President of France and, as leader of the Socialist Party, the first figure from the left elected President under the Fifth Republic.
Be afraid, be very afraid…of your ignorance!

  • Boy, Glenn can really connect the dots…and come to conclusions that are just a little far fetched (not that that’s anything new). Go ahead and study communism…see if it has anything to do with what’s going on in this country. BTW: I don’t think many communists would believe the US is heading in their direction.

And his simple steps to free yourself from the system. Nothing wrong with them. But what do they have to do with his fear of communism?

I guess Glenn is having a hard time finding things to talk about. Does he still keep your attention?

You have a great sense of smell- not! I’m a physician: Allergy-Immunology.

  • On topic: Peugeot has very good diesel and hybrid-Diesel technology. Opel does not have much of a positive image. I think the business decisions are sound…but in very challenging times. I wish him and GM all the best.

  • GM Bails out French Automaker?

PSA Peugeot Citroen has excellent diesel technology (they are very highly regarded in Europe). I won’t be surprised if GM comes out with a diesel-electric hybid- already being developed by PSA Peugeot Citroen. It will perform and be incredibly economical at the same time. One could only wish GM had such technology…as opposed to the Volt, a car too expensive and not even innovative.

OK, I’ll take the 60% of the billion…and you have the 60% of the dollar- percentage is percentage. Thanks!

  • How does one compare banking to newspaper media as far as making money is concerned…not to mention their very different business models. This is how he justifies the enormous sums of money paid to bankers? He’s good, very good…but I’m not buying it.

  • I think he also speaks some French…OMG!

  • The debate about “socialism” is endless…and obviously I misspoke: the countries I mentioned could hardly be considered “socialist states.” The point I wanted to make is that Greece‘s problems really don’t trace to “social benefits”- in fact, it would be a whole lot easier to solve their financial problems if they did. Certainly, Greece is no Norway and I agree that Norway has some significant geographic advantages. Getting back to my original point: The above article I’m commenting on, does indeed try to link Greece’s problems to “social” policies. I think that’s misleading and very much in line with how messages on this site are contrived. I know there’s a clear agenda to sites like the TheBlaze (and many other, if not all other political writings), but wouldn‘t it be nice if the theme wasn’t always to ridicule based on ideology. A little deeper analysis would be nice…but who am I kidding.
