  Unfortunately, you’re probably right. This guy and some lawyer will try to sue Wal Mart with no real cause. Exactly what is any store supposed to do to prevent wild critters from gaining entry, especially to the garden area??

  Now, I would say he has a pretty good case against the ER. Sending him home before being CERTAIN there was no venom is STOOPID.

  @Jezreel, what a disturbing thing to say. This country would not survive, as we know it (if at all), should some idiot take out Obama. Make no mistake, that would be the worst possible way to get him out of the office, as badly as that needs to happen. Please, for the love of God, pray for his safety.

  To answer the question; yes, that IS what democracy looks like. Democracy is tyranny of the majority. Put another way, it is two cats and a mouse deciding what to have for dinner. This country was designed by brilliant, divinely inspired men to be a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. There is a vast and extremely important difference and the progressives (read “peaceful” communists) have labored hard for 100 years to brainwash the people into believing democracy is the ideal, and that it’s our form of government. Ever wonder why NO prominent politician schools the media and the public about the difference? Not even Ron Paul. It makes you wonder.

  Take this for what you will; when I was in high school, I had a very good teacher who escaped from East Germany at 14. He taught government and US History. One day he was going on about our “democracy”. At the end of class, he was with another student, so I wrote a quick note stating that, in fact, our govt. is a republic and dropped it on his desk. He stopped me and read the note. He told me that I was absolutely right, but he was not ALLOWED to teach that. Pretty frightening.

  Sorry, law enforcement officers rarely drive Mercury Grand Marquis. There is nothing about the car that looks like a civil service vehicle other than it’s platform mate is used as them. It’s just a guy in a big Mercury.

  She may not be attractive, but she is absolutely beautiful. Mother Theresa was not an attractive lady either, but what she did with her life was gorgeous. I have a tendency to see one’s character overlay their physical appearance. For instance, I do not understand anyone’s fascination with Paris Hilton. To me, she is very unattractive. This woman though; absolutely beautiful. God bless her.

  I don’t see where you get that from at all. A thing doesn’t have to be hereditary for it to be there at birth, or to develop at a young age. Psychopaths and sociopaths start very young. Some people are just born bad. It goes against what we like to believe about the human race, but it is true and plainly evident. My nephew‘s 11 year old cousin shows many of the signs but the parents won’t do anything constructive about it. We keep my nephew from being alone with the kid. Best we can do.

  Psychopaths ARE able to be detected at early ages. If they can detect it early, maybe they can do something about it before someone gets hurt. The idea that they should withhold a diagnosis because it might hurt someone’s feelings is utterly ridiculous. Psychopaths are often very dangerous and always destructive people.

  The wipes are for the cart, not your hands. The filthiest things are stuff you touch every day. Money is crawling with germs. Your computer mouse is more infested than the one crawling around in your walls. Phones are laden with germs reaching out to touch someone. The worst offender? Probably ladies purses. Most people don’t pay much attention to where they set down their purse. Many set them on the floor wherever they are, even in the public restrooms. Then they come home and put it on the counter. Yummy.

  Okay, now realize that germs are everywhere and while being reasonable about washing your hands and such is smart, we cannot (and should not) sanitize the world. Remember War of the Worlds? The human body is designed to deal with these germs. They make us stronger.

  I’m going to save myself a headache and try to avoid reading the majority of the ignorant and bigoted comments here on this issue. I’ve seen them all before on similar articles.

  What I want to know is how anyone can justify giving the government the power to outlaw two consenting adults entering into a legal contract – any legal contract – together. I have no desire to change the religious definition of marriage, and I’m all for calling it a civil union (or any other term deemed appropriate), so long as it provides the same legal protections that marriage provides. Since NO ONE can make the behavior illegal, WHY do they think it’s permissible to deny the legal protections granted under marriage? I have news for you, none of you have any clue as to the legal status of any couple you see, and it makes no difference to you whatsoever. No matter what laws are passed against allowing SS couples to “marry”, they can still get 90% of the legal benefits and protections through other legal means. Precisely what does it accomplish by making it so much harder for SS couples to achieve those protections?

  These are honest questions. I truly desire to have an intelligent and logical discussion as to what, exactly, is harmed by permitting two men or two women from enjoying these legal benefits. I understand the religious objections, and sympathize with them, but we don’t pass laws that you must observe religious standards. I want to know the secular, constitutional argument.
