  • When it was time for my daughter to bridge from Brownies to Juniors (2004), there was no troop available so I volunteered and went through the training. It became clear right away that Girl Scouts had changed since I was a kid – and not for the better. Our family decided to pull her out of scouts because the clear anti-Christian, liberal agenda would undermine what we were teaching at home.

BTW, Monicne, I have been a Catholic Christian for ten years. Before that, I was an Evangelical Christian. My husband was a pastor and we both went to Evangelical Christian colleges. You might want to be careful not to use “Christian” as a replacement term for “Protestant”; while contrasting it with “Catholic”.

I realize there is still quite a bit of anti-Catholic bias out there, and an innocent mistake like this could be very offensive to some people. Certainly in this day and age, Christian believers need to focus on what unites us rather than what divides us. It is helpful to recall that those who profess the historic creeds – Nicene, Apostolic, etc – are our brothers and sisters in Christ.
