  • Ed, I‘m sure you’d give money to all your favorite commie’s if you could, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, FDR, LBJ, Obama, etc…

  • Freedom!

  • It’s you Mr. King that is short-sighted. To use the phrase “moral imperative” and “Occupy Movement” in the same paragraph shows how wrong-headed you truly are. One more time for those that haven’t gotten the memo – OWS IS A SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST MOVEMENT, AND SOCIALISM IS IMMORAL.

King has it all wrong. Our debt does not come primarily from “War”. It comes primarily from unconstitutional attempts for our country to “care for its sick and its poor”, along with forced participation in “social insurance” and “social welfare” programs (i.e. entitlements). Like most liberals he likes to talk about the Tea Party, but doesn’t know anything about their ideology, our government, and our individual rights.

  • There is nothing as bad as socialism in all its forms and facets. Collectivism, Marxism, Communism, Statism, and Utopianism have the same things in common, the denial of individual rights and the enslavement of the individual to the state. Most of the people that support it are just stupid, sick and misguided. However, there are some people that actually believe in it and they are evil. Any ideology that is based on holding a gun to a person’s head in order to force them act in a manner that is against their own self interest is evil and immoral. Socialism NEVER rocks!

  • “Government can’t change lives, but they have resources we don’t have. We can change lives with those resources,”

I guess he didn’t get the memo – THE GOVERNMENT DOESN’T HAVE ANY RESOURCES, IT’S BROKE! The lives that are being changed are those of responsible people being enslaved to the irresponsible. I have a question for him – IS IT MORAL FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO HOLD A GUN TO A PERSONS HEAD AND FORCIBLY TAKE THEIR MONEY IN ORDER TO FEED SOMEONE ELSE? Forced charity is not charity at all, it is oppression.

  • “It’s about fairness in the workplace; it’s about fairness in education; and it’s about fairness in terms of what services are provided by government. And if we can’t have say-so in that, then this isn’t the dream that all of us have aspired to be a part of.” – Hilda Solis

I love how she and the President think they can speak for everyone. It’s not about the powers granted to the government in the constitution, it’s about what services they think the government should provide. It’s about correcting the un-fairness in salaries in the workplace. It’s about the un-fairness in how much education people can afford. It’s about liberals deciding what your financial obligations are to support their ideas. It about “an America that helps every single one of us” except those hardworking, responsible, innovative people that happen to make a lot of money.

These people are sick and misguided, bordering on evil. We live in very dangerous times.

  • There is nothing wrong or evil about paying between 12-15% taxes on income made from investments, as long as that is the amont any individual is legally required to pay. Those rates were set to encourage investment, and it is the same percentage I pay, you pay or wealthy people pay. It also has to be remembered that people most often make investments with disposable income that they make after paying income taxes. In other words, most people already paid income taxes at a higher rate, took money that was left over, invested that money, made money, and have to pay taxes again.

  • Someone need to remind Mr. West that we have a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit and 15+ trillion in debt. Spending on welfare and entitlement programs will not going up, but down. Drastically down. That is if we want to have a country in ten years.

  • The problem with this program is not the loan restructuring it’s the loan forgiveness. Essentially, it creates a huge welfare program by limiting the amount that can be collected and forgiving the remaining balance after a certain period. That balance will be picked up not by the lender, but by the federal government. That means that schools can jack up their prices, students can spend years borrowing and getting degrees that the markets may not want, take relatively low paying jobs, make small monthly loan payments and then after 20 years leave the taxpayer holding the bag for tens of thousands in debt. Who wins? The liberal elite academics and irresponsible liberal students! This is a kickback for votes and liberal propoganda provided by universities. It’s absurd, it’s another “obamanation”!

  • Wrong. The problem with the government helping the poor is that it suppossed to protect all the people’s rights and provide equal treatment under the law. Instead of meeting its obligations it has become the instrument of the violation of people’s rights by taking from one group and giving to another, providing unequal treatment under the law. Religious organizations should stick to religion and stop petitioning the government to commit immoral acts.
