I lived in Kuwait for two years and oh yes you do have to abide by sharia law. It totally sucked living over there. We committed financial suicide to get home and then find out that some US politicians are actually vying for some elements of Sharia law?

Obama Mocks GOP Opponents Over Energy Positions: ‘Members of the Flat Earth Society’
March 16, 2012 at 2:45am
What person, let alone politician, has come out and said that the sun or wind does not produce energy that can be harvested as power- hmmmm? Not one person that I know of. This is not the same as back in Columbus’s day. Politicians are not saying that wind and solar power does not exist, only that it is still underdeveloped to be used on a mass scale. It’s like saying someone should have set sail long before Columbus, long before there were boats equipped to handle such a journey.

And mine is the 24th. I don’t think the world will end, but I do believe things are about to change- and not for the good either.

Wow- I find it fascinating that you draw such a conclusion. From the video, the only person who seems out of control is the man.

Exactly Edward-
Regardless of the relationship this is not a caring, loving man who is trying to keep a loved-one from self destructive behavior.

Disenlightened-
What a stupid remark. You want to bunch all people into one group. The women’s lib movement was not and is not supported by all men and women. If I believe that women should be treated differently, that is my right to think so. Women are more delicate than men and should be treated that way. I do agree with you that no one has the right to strike another person. But you should not conclude that all women are for the women’s lib movement, which most of us realize now is not about supporting women, but designed to breakdown the traditional family. Furthermore- the only reason the women’s lib movement was able to flourish as it did is because many men at the time allowed the mistreatment of women to continue. A lot of men believed that is was okay to hit their wives. She was forced to stay home with the kids and then was put down for doing just that. If more men saw the value in what she did, then perhaps the women’s lib movement would not have gained the traction that it did.

MIL DOT- I think you should probably know the law, as well, before you go dishing out advice. One would not neccessarily go to jail for shooting someone who was hitting them with their fists. Of course it all depends on the state and city and its laws, but people are generally allowed to defend themselves against any attack they deem life threatening.
And as the saying goes, I for one would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
