  • I disagree that the only speech that requires protection is “reprehensible” speech. It’s most often just disagreeable speech. Maybe it’s speech that those in power find “reprehensible” but not decent people. In this case I’d stand for common decency, the rights of individuals, and against speech that is not only “reprehensible” but intentionally aimed at private individuals with the sole purpose of provoking and without regard for the pain caused.

I also disagree with Pat. I would not beat them with a baseball bat. I know myself and if in my grief I lost my mind which is entirely possible, I’d plow my car into their group. I can‘t even say I’d try to avoid the children because I know I’d no longer have that much reason left.

I hope we will see some genuine wisdom from the SC and they will find a way to appropriately protect free speech but also protect individual rights and freedom. In this case, the right and freedom to grieve and honor one of nation’s finest.

  • Outstanding. I’m with any American who speaks up for the conservative principles which help everyone regardless of race. That’s what all Americans should want. I’m sick of Democrats always dividing us into groups so they can pander to each group. Identity politics only benefits a few (mainly politicians, activists, unions, Democrats) and it’s seldom the people that they say they are helping. We‘re all Americans and what’s good for the nation is good for all Americans.
