  • “But for someone in her position, who‘s thinking of convincing the country to put her in the nation’s top office, a cheeky joke used by high school and college-aged kids wasn’t all that presidential.”

WTF? I’m 40, and I regularly use that acronym. Why are people so freakin’ hypercritical of Palin? Are they really that threatened by her? I’m talking both Republicans and Democrats, BTW.

  • I used to abhor guns. Not for political reasons. My ex-bf took me to a shooting range once, and the noise factor was what turned me off. Ten years, a husband and two children later, I’m seriously considering learning to handle a gun so that I can concealed carry. I’ll just use noise-blocking ear thingys when I go to practice.

  • I really doubt that Jesus hates Obama, but I do believe that, if he doesn’t change his ways, Obama isn’t going to be too happy with his lot in the afterlife.

  • It’s like a campaign by the NEA to get us all to homeschool our children. It’s working, too.

  • I’m concerned Giffords may have suffered brain damage. As a brain damage sufferer, I don‘t think she’ll be able to execute her duties of office if that is the case. I’m functional, but I’m not capable of holding a job because of my injury . I can’t even balance my checkbook, lol. I’m fortunate enough to have a husband who can pay all our bills, though we have had to cut back quite a bit.

If she does have a brain injury, it may not affect her. Her doctors won‘t even know if it does or doesn’t. I’m nervous about her prospects, even more nervous when I consider that it took me about 4 years to accept the consequences of my brain injury.

  • How about consulting with other professors, university administration, etc., instead of the other students of the class? What a stupid move. The university probably already has a policy in place for dealing with this kind of thing, or it should.

I don‘t think that the guy asking where the baby’s father is understands that vet school is postgraduate. The student is most likely married to a man with a job. I have two friends who are vets, and they both got married after university but before they went to vet school. Their spouses had jobs, which helped support their families. One had a child while in vet school, the other waited until after.

  • I can’t believe this. Obviously, she was sent to bring a single Kinder egg over the border to choke an innocent American child. By Bush, Limbaugh, Beck, Palin and Boehner. Isn’t it obvious?

  • I’ll remind everyone of H.R. 42, http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h109-42.

“A condominium association, cooperative association, or residential real estate management association may not adopt or enforce any policy, or enter into any agreement, that would restrict or prevent a member of the association from displaying the flag of the United States on residential property within the association with respect to which such member has a separate ownership interest or a right to exclusive possession or use.”

  • I hope this was an accident.

  • I’m sorry, but I’m a Christian. I believe in forgiving others when they do wrong. Michael Vick appears to have turned his life around and I truly believe that he regrets his past acts, horrible though they were.

I’ve done awful things in my past, but God has forgiven me. It’s not my place to sit in judgment of others. Vick committed a pretty awful crime, went to prison, paid his debt. I don‘t know whether he’s asked God to forgive him, and it’s none of my business. That’s between him and the Lord.
