Obama Campaign Selling ‘BFD’ Health Care T-Shirts
March 25, 2012 at 8:53am
How is it that the Office of the President has been lowered from something of DIGNITY and RESPECT, to being the butt of jokes by the other nations of the world? For OUR president to be selling tee-shirts proclaiming in very large letters Big F-ing Deal, really just makes me want to puke.
There is no pride or dignity in this. What would you tell your grandkids this means if they asked you? The president (lower case on purpose) just likes to use naughty words because he thinks young people will think he’s cool? I personally think this shows a profound lack of respect for the people who mistakenly put him into office. ANYONE serving in the Presidency should care deeply about the perceptions they are creating, and should stick to the moral high-road.
This Is How Student Debt Could Cripple the U.S. Economy
March 9, 2012 at 8:52am
I have a slightly different take on this. Doesn’t anyone feel that some of these kids were lacking just a little bit in their upbringing? My son is the first in my family to have graduated college, and we couldn’t be prouder of him. He worked very hard while in school, and tried not to borrow any more than was necessary, but with the cost of college, the days of graduating debt-free are over IMO. Upon graduating into a depressed economy, the lack of good jobs had him working two jobs at times to be able to live as getting his student loans paid off is a high priority item for him. He now has an “adequate” job(though not in his major), and even has a little money left over to be able to do some of the things he enjoys. He however, is not settling. He continually sends resumes and applys for jobs in his field, and I believe with his perseverence and attitude he will ultimately be successful. He has been told since he was big enough to understand that he can be anything he wants because he is smart and because he LIVES IN AMERICA. Our children not only have to dream big, they need to have the will and the desire to go after what they want. College is too large an investment in time and money to simply give up and whine. Parents must be living examples to thier children, supportive of thier dreams and encouarging in all things. If one of my kids were part of OWS, I would know that I had failed them.
‘I Know That it Was All Worth It’: Fallen Marine Leaves Behind Moving Message of Hope
February 6, 2012 at 7:07am
Rest in Peace Sgt. Stacey, and Semper Fi. I hope your family finds the peace and grace available from our Lord in this time of incredible loss. Rest assured that there are many in this country that have also served that “have your back”. While there are many in our armed forces that are in it for the college money and other personal gratifications, I believe that there are as many or more, that actually “get it”, and are there to serve, and to protect all that their fellow Americans hold dear. I do not believe that if push comes to shove, these people will turn their arms against their fellow citizens. Many of us that have served previously are sickened by the turns our government has taken, and will prove to be an immovable force if and when the fur hits the fan. While we are now older, the fire of commitment to our country, our families, and our fellow Americans still burns as brightly as before. I will not stand idly by and see the future of my children and grandchildren sold-out to the New World Order. I only hope I can stand next to someone who is as commited to the things that have made this county great as this young marine was. Semper Fi brother, hope to see you when its done.
Why Did the ‘Deadliest’ SEAL Sniper Punch Jesse Ventura in The Face?
January 5, 2012 at 8:07am
The Wake for a fallen comrade is something that is akin to sacred among the SEAL community. A time for celebration of someones life and accomplishments as well as a time of profound grief and personnal loss. SpecOps is family. The bond between people that depend upon each other for their very lives is one of the strongest I have ever felt. These are people who will actually DIE for one another. Jesse is nothing more than a blowbag, swelled up with himself, and incredibly disrespecfull of the family of a medal-of-honor winner. Kyle did what needed to be done, both in that bar, and in Iraq. Punching Jesse was a reflex, sure it wasn’t even concious thought. Don’t mess with these people, as they care for their own. Unless you have been in their shoes, done what they’ve done, and have a profound love of country and countrymen, your can’t and will never understand. I sleep well at night, knowing that men such as these are the guardians of all that I hold dear.
O’Reilly to Santorum: ‘You’re Going to be Portrayed as an Extremist,‘ Are You ’Ready to Be Demonized?’
January 5, 2012 at 7:33am
WAKE THE HELL UP!!! People, the field is narrowing, and soon we will be presented with the Republican nominee. We are all getting caught up in side issues that are really just that – side issues. Santorum recognizes that Iran is a threat. He has said he will consult with the Israelis on the nuke issue. I’ve not heard him say he is ready to go to war. He is anti-abortion. Good for him. He thinks we need to be fiscally responsible. Good for him. Bottom line – The president is not the King(take notice Obumer). He can influence policy, he cannot dictate, he cannot legislate. Not his job. He realizes the decline of the family = the decline of our society. Yes, I like him. Yes I voted for him two days ago. If he is the nominee I will gladly vote for him again. If not, I will vote for the person that is nominated(even RP) Don’t get sidetracked into all this fighting and bickering among ourselves. That’s what THEY want us to do. The goal is to get rid of Obumer.
Two Abortion Docs Charged With Murder After 35 Late-Term Babies Found in Freezer
December 31, 2011 at 7:31am
My wife and I tried for six years(prayerfully), before the Lord blessed us with our first child. We have raised three beautiful children, who are now responsible, caring adults. I couldn’t be prouder of them. Our oldest daughter is married, and we were blessed with our first grandson 2 years ago. Watching them raise their son in a Christ-centered home has been and will be the greatest blessing I have ever known. How can anyone deny themselves this? How can someone spend 8 years of their life in education to bastardize that education and use it to murder innocent lives? Some value the lives of animals more than the lives of their fellow human beings. Our society is going to have a lot to answer for in the final days. To MRZMAC: My prayers and those of my family go out to you and yours. Wish there was a way of finding out how this all turns out. I know the joy of meeting your first grandbaby, praying that you will know it as well. It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER.
‘Garbage’: Chris Christie Hammers Sick Leave Payouts For N.J. Public Sector
December 26, 2011 at 9:19am
Where I work, we have sick pay. We can build our account to 6 weeks, which takes 5 years. At the end of year 6, any sick days beyond the 6 weeks are paid out at 50% on the dollar, in the first week of December. Makes kind of a nice Christmas fund, eh? I don’t see this as excessive, more a reward for good attendance and not seeing sick days as 12 more days off a year. When an employee retires, the 6 weeks on the books ARE NOT paid out. I am not a public sector employee. Those who abuse this policy are really only screwing themselves should they be in an accident or require hospitalization. I don’t think anyone should be able to use sick-pay to retire early. Use it as it is intended. If you don’t need to use it, so much the better! It is a benefit, not an entitlement!
Defense Dept. Okays Process Allowing Cadets to Wear Hijabs for JROTC Program
December 26, 2011 at 8:51am
To Mr. Leon Panetta,
You sir need to sit down and read the Quaran. I honestly believe these people are enemies of the United States. One of the reasons for the establishment of the U.S. Navy was to stop the muslims from kidnapping and enslaving American merchant marine sailors. What has changed in muslim theology since then? Exactly nothing. There is no greater glory than to die in jihad for the beloved prophet. We are the great satan. They want to kill us. Period. I spent 10 years of my life in the Navy in Photographic Intelligence and the world is not the nicey nicey place that you think it is or want it to be. We need to begin calling a spade a spade. Islam is the enemy, has always been, and will forever be. Political Correctness will not change facts.

Here. Here. Well said, and I thank you for your service. It is my fervent hope that you are the majority. When I was a kid, police, firemen, soldiers and sailors were people to be looked up to, people who were respected for their chosen profession. I am glad to see this is still the case. As in all things, It only takes a couple of bad apples to make you want to inspect the entire barrel. Do we need to be more diligent in testing candidates for our police forces? Can officers such as yourself make a positive impact on situations such as these? Where do we need to go, what do we need to do?? It seems to me we as a nation need heroes, people to look up to again, where and how do we find them? We have lost our way and need to get back on track as a nation.l
