Its sickening to digest especially for those so devoted to country, however it is true. The US “appears as a lamb”, but “speaks as a dragon.” Its all right there.   There exists a Christian nation…..its called the Church. Its members reside across the four corners of the globe…its temporal home is earth. Its destiny is eternity. There will be no “Christian” nation as far as a physical place on earth, for we know that His kingdom IS NOT of this world. Now that said, there are many pockets of the globe where His name is lifted high and His rule is clearly seen. But this does not belong to one nation / country / place. Wheat and tares until the end. Days of Noah. Gospel goes out the four corners. PERIOD. Countries do not need to be bombed, they need to be delivered with the message of Christ. For all our knowledge and technology, our country has been found lacking indeed. Peace.

  Amen. Once a level of such piety is reached, you no longer see the speck in your own eye. You cant. Humility is gone and you become, “you’re own leader,” as Glenn said. Do you see the problem with that? (especially God fearing people out there…do you see the huge problem that presents?). Our personal issues, small or great (foul speech, tax cheating, gluttony, laziness, murder, etc) should buffer and humble us from such piety, but when you dont see or feel the thorn in your own side, you become judge and jury of others. Do you not know that Christ came for the sick, and not the well? Why are you so well?

  Was He speaking of you, when He said “pray your flight not be on the Sabbath?” Some would have you believe that, but the audience He was speaking to knew that the gates of the city are closed on Sabbath, therefore pray that your “flight not be on the Sabbath.“ And pray that it not be in ”winter.” Now you have a car right? most likely with heat. However when the temple fell in 70AD and was left desolate, you would not be able to drive away from the invaders….you would have to travel on foot. Furthermore He warned them “do not go back into your house.” Now in that day, many had access to their rooftops and could actually walk along the closely connected dwellings, and the Lord tells them “dont go back in for anything,” but flee.

  There is no point to say enough is enough. Jesus did not stutter. Turn thee other cheek means turn the other cheek. Search the gospels and see. The blood of the new covenant changed EVERYTHING. Mustard seed faith literally moves mountains. Even the ones that pose a viable threat to your safety. Few find it. I am not saying self defense is completely off limits….but its close, and if you have seen Him then you know what I mean. Humility is powerful….its just not your own power, its His. And it works mightily if we can abandon ourselves and truly walk in His strength. Then it is His strength made mighty in our weakness….and only then. When you walk like this, even your “friends” will abandon you, because they are skeptical. You must have an agenda, you must want something, you must be…….NO…..its because you have seen “Him.” And now you know you are dust (and just dust without HIM). Wheat and tares my friend, do not be discouraged. Bless you.

  Bless you…..fathom it brother: the multitude in heaven, every race, color, tribe…..its alive now. Right now today. Its wheat amongst tares so we dont always see it. But the elect race is here, as it was before us, lets live in victory now. Just as the Lord told the Samaritan woman, “the time is coming, and now is!” (”that those who worship will worship in spirit and truth!”).
