  • Given the fact that the head line refers to Lin’s 9 turn overs and has his picture above the headline I would have to say it was intentional. Lin is a christian and they don’t like the “Tebow” side of his popularity. They want to see him fail and like Tebow wish him to be little more than a punch line. Don’t underestimate leftist mean spirited, racist and anti-Christian behavior.

  • Allow me to add one more thing before I go help Santa this evening. I wish all you guys a Merry Christmas and thank you libertarians for engaging me this evening. If I could just point out to you that it may be a bit arrogant for you to think you’re the only ones with the facts. For instance Glenn Beck is no libertarian but you can’t deny the man is informed. I encourage all of us including me to challenge our assumptions and worldviews if you’re interested in truth. I agree with and understand how important limited government is to our freedom. I would also remind you that for me as a Christian I am well aware of both the real and imagined conspiracies that man is capable of. No need to lecture me there. Free markets and limited government; freedom for all; so help me God

  • @ OKIE First of all I have to say it’s hard to know where to start with your comments given I only have 1500 words to reply. I’ll start here, I try not to speak for God but it‘s pretty clear in the Bible that he regards the souls of all people equally valuable to him so I don’t think it’s a stretch that he would expect Christians to defend and protect anyone of any faith when they are under tyranny. As for calling names, that is not what I was complaining about. Just like in your post libertarians are short on fact and thought and long on insults. I merely attempt to give as good as I get and will never apologize for that, again I refer you to the Bible and point out to you that even Jesus Christ was indignant a lot. Indignant means angry, just so you know. As for your list of Ron Paul facts. A couple minutes on YouTube will prove you wrong about the 9/11 truther thing. The legalized drug thing, are you really telling me that libertarians don’t believe in legalized drugs? And Israel, would there be more war or less war if Ron Paul was president and told Israel that we may or may not have your back but hey if you feel the need to take care this on your own knock yourself out. I think Ron Paul’s proposed Israeli foreign-policy would force Israel to take out its enemies before they tested Ron Paul. As for the little old lady analogy, that remains to be seen and I haven’t seen much yet that would make me change my mind. When it comes to my freedom I won’t count on you.

  • @ ASHESTOASHES I agree with the majority of your sediments. There is no doubt that our country’s economic condition is apocalyptic. I don’t believe that we can even conceive in this country what the world and our country will look like if this economic house of cards finally completely collapses. In this I couldn’t agree more with Ron Paul and many of his followers. Unfortunately I said that many times here on the blades and it always seems to fall on deaf ears. My biggest rub with Ron Paul is the same exact problem I have with moral equivalent leftists. Ron Paul as president I believe would make us less safe. I don’t think that he begins to understand what he is dealing with when it comes to Islam and Islamic terrorists. Ron Paul and many libertarians seem to not understand the nature of natural man. When you walk the streets of your cities local bad neighborhood, you’d try to appear confident and strong; able to handle your business while carrying pepper spray or knife or just your keys in your hand at the ready for trouble? Yes of course you do because if you walk down the street looking scared, confused, and worried you’d end up a victim of crime so fast that it would make your head spin. Dealings with countries on an international level are no different. Under Obama we look weak and confused and financially unable to handle her business. Under Ron Paul I don’t think we would look much different to our enemies. And here’s a big one for me, Ron thinks we started it

  • @ SAWBUCK Right on! @ YOUNGBLOODNEWS You just did The same thing LEEROYJENKINS did; See where I get RonPaulotrons from? So you’re the arbiter of conservatism. I don’t agree with you, so you put me in an ideological position that I don’t hold and have not espoused and then point out to me how wrong I am. WOW you’re brilliant. Explain to me how your behavior is any different from David Axelrod,or anyone of a dozen leftists arguing there case in the public today. I think what really ****** you off is that I accurately describe and understand your positions. Just like the leftists you are unable and unwilling to have a conversation openly and honestly. Instead resort to third grade play ground crap. I wonder if you could put the water bong down long enough to formulate and defend an ideological argument. Here’s a question for you since you want to deal in absolutes only. If I’m a fake conservative for defending Israel and believing that sometimes foreign wars are necessary. Then aren’t you a cowardly isolationist who was is so selfish and self-centered that you can’t be trusted by your allies to help them when they need it? I‘ll bet I couldn’t count on you to even cross the street and piss on me if I were on fire. I bet you would be glad to start the fire though. You‘re just as dangerous to free and civil people as those occupy Wall Street idiots and I won’t count on you being there when the actual revolution really starts. You could get hurt so you’ll be in the

  • @ COMMONSENSE Join the revolution? I have voted on the side of the Constitution every chance that I’ve had, like Reagan. And as far as this tree of liberty needing the blood of tyrants and patriots to survive; I have got my gear, my guns, my ammo, and my training (former Marine). I will live free or die. I assume from your log on that you’re a fan of Thomas Payne. He too never met a revolution he didn’t like; unfortunately for him he failed to understand why the outcome of the American Revolution was so different from that of the French. Clearly this problem continues to exist with Libertarians to this day. I’ll save you some time reading history books. There is one huge difference between the American and French revolutions. That was God. The American Revolution was led by founding fathers that were God centered Christians and Jews. The French Revolution was led by godless egomaniacs like Robespierre. The French Revolution murdered hundreds of thousands of people and ended under the rule of a tyrannical dictator. Be careful not all revolutions are created equally. As for talking down to fans of Paul; you must be kidding me. The vile hateful things that are said by libertarians on the blogs of the blaze embarrass your comments.

  • @LEEROYJENKINS thank you; you did an artful job of proving my point. I don‘t agree with you so therefore I support all of the things that you just applied to my position because I don’t want to legalize drugs? Or because I support Israel? There is another position between all of those that you just tried to attach to me and conservatives in general and your “stick my head in the sand and mind my own business just please make it legal for me to smoke dope” position. Just about everything you just listed and have arrogantly assigned to me and conservatives in general are progressive, liberal, socialist manipulations of our Constitution and government in general. The fact of the matter is that many times it has been the moral, freedom loving, and quite constitutional thing to do; when we have projected our power out into the world to liberate people and protect our national interests. Libertarians act as if they would see a crime and not do anything about it; not help the little old lady as it were from the proverbial purse snatcher. Now just because I think there are and have been times when our country was right and just in its foreign-policy does not by any stretch of the imagination mean that I agree blindly with every foreign-policy decision our country is made in the last 235 years. That would be ridiculous. What is also ridiculous and dangerous are people who fail to acknowledge that evil exists in the world and that evil has to be confronted.

  • It truly saddens me to read the RonPaulatron comments on the blaze. You people have declared war on conservatives. Clearly you‘re not trying to change my mind about Ron Paul or you wouldn’t insult me in every one of your posts that I read. Now I just voted with the 85% on this post who said yes CNN editing changed the way the interview looked. What it does not change his Ron Paul’s response. I agree he did not walk off without good cause. The problem is the MSM will not ask him the right question and there are questions he needs to answer. Like, is the guy who wrote these articles still working for him? These were not merely incorrect statements, they were racist and conspiratorial. Which gets to the heart of the problem the vast majority of Americans have and will have when Ron Paul starts to get vetted. The vast majority of conservatives agree with and support his constitutional economic proposals. But many of us will NEVER understand or support the 9/11 truther crap or his general moral equivalence. If as a libertarian, you guys don‘t have a problem with all this than you’re either willfully ignorant or a couple bricks shy of a load. There are literally volumes of books written by much smarter man than me which you need to read up on so you can understand the guaranteed folly of postmodern theology and moral equivalence. Most of you libertarians are trying to swim in the intellectual deep end of the pool but you forgot your floaties.

I agree that Law should not be the ONLY place America displays it’s social standards. It probably should be the last. But the libertarian position of legalized drugs among other things would leave this current American culture in chaos. Lower legal “hemp” (rolling my eyes) down on your priority list and you’ll get more bees with your personal liberty and personal responsibility honey. I know it’s sweet. Guys with 420 patriot user ID‘s don’t help your case (420 is police code for smoking pot). Legal drugs should not even be part of the conversation at this point. And one more thing. I would be the first to defend Ron Paul If his pole numbers were up and the MSM began to attack him to save barry. And here you guys are jumpin on every chunk of red meat the MSM troughs at you. lets talk about what Cain or Paul will do all day. But when the enemy pulls out the Clarance Thomas attack you give them a minute to find some evidence. At the end of the day we are pretty close to being on the same end of the political scale.

colt1860- I appreciate your comments about drug use and the failed “war on drugs”. I think that I understand the libertarian position. Of course you would consed that there are dozens of drugs from heroin to lsd ; angel dust and so on that were not around in the old days. But that aside. As I have said before I used to see myself as a Libertarian. I am all for reducing the amount of laws in general. Too many laws reduces the public respect for law and the rule of law (which is the goal of lefties). But these drugs weren’t legal cause the founders were socially liberal but cause they were not a problem for society at large. The fact is (here is were we part ways) that 18th century founding America was MORE moral, christian, and god centered society than America now. They dealt with it at all levels before a law had to be made.Gov didn’t fix it like now; you did. A public drunk when to the stocks for discomfort and humiliation while sobering up. If a stoner was caught breaking in to steal for money for drugs he got killed. No law suits; No police murder investigation. The fact he was climbing out your window and not in; So! It was your window. Let me just say what to me obvious. If you want to legalize drugs; Great, but there are many things that have to be changed first. Like; Civil law and the ambulance chasers. Christians need to have the same rights as atheists. The entitlement mentality; and identity politics and many more. You have the wagon in front of the horse is a
