  • Davis High School is in Syracuse UT and is about one of the most conservative places in Utah. This is probably payback from the FEDs for being so conservative.

  • How can we as voters scrub all the ballots to make sure there isn’t one for illegals, felons, dead people or anyone else that shouldn’t vote?

How can we make sure people vote only once? How can we stop any other form of cheating (machines, people stuffing the ballot boxes, fraud in counting, etc..)?

We need to do this. I believe the democrats cheat a lot and we need to do some things to minimize that!

I would really like some ideas on this. We need to organize this if someone isn’t already doing this.

  • The curve shown has nothing to do with a normal distribution if that is what you meant by standard deviation curve. The principle taught doesn’t have anything to do with randomness!

  • THE THIRD ARCHON

I would agree with what you said except if you mean we have historically low tax rates. We currenly have the highest corportate tax rate out there.

  • I came up with that Laffer curve independently when trying to explain to some people why a decrease in taxes can boost revenue. If your to the right of the optimal point, a decrease in the tax rate brings in more revenue (heresy to some). A simple curve to show that Reaganomics can and does work! Most people only understand a linear relationship (higher rate means higher revenue) and don’t think of a non-linear one like the curve shown.

When I hear stuff like a decrease in tax rates is voodo ecomonics or that welfare stimulates the economy (and comming from congressmen) it drives me crazy. When you start looking at the economy as a dynamic system with memory etc. and have an idea how the dynamics play out, you can show how stupid some of their comments are. Unfortunately it is way beyond most of the publics knowledge of math.

  • Why couldnl’t Hannity stick to one topic and drill it down? Ask the kid, “So if you should be provided all of these things, how will it be paid for”.

    Kid: “I don’t know”
Hannity: “It would come from taxes or printing more money. Do you think those working should be taxed more or that we should inflate money”
    Kid: “I don’t know”
Hannity should then explain why taxing everyone to death results in less jobs and would hurt his chances of finding jobs etc…

Instead they bounced all around the place and didn’t accomplish anything.

  • Hannity needs to shut up and let the kid talk. Hannity is all over the place. Let the kid talk and it would be easy to asked pointed questions that would either stump the kid or show just how ignorant that he really is. I could hardly watch. Hannity could probably actually get this kid to think half-way straight if he would just shut up and and have a civil conversation with him. O”Rielly interupts all the time and Laura Ingram does too. They are not effective when doing this. They have no chance to gain any common ground when they are rude like this. It make conservatives look bad. STOP IT!

  • He was my first choise. The class of the field by far.

  • Mitt Romney is nothing like Obama. Where do you get this nonsense from! A business man vs a community organizer. Someone who loves America vs someone who hates it. Smaller government vs bigger government. Fiscal responsibilty vs irresponsibility. We could go on and on.

Obama has only given significantly the last two years! Look at 2000-2004. Pretty pathetic! He only started donating more than 2% in 2005 after his book royalties started coming in (books he didn’t write from what I understand). Ony the last two years has he done much and probably because he knew he could be going up against Romney.

I would love for Romney to release his taxes for a long time. It would show he made a lot of money but would also show he has donated a lot to charity! We do need discussions in this country to make the tax laws fairer (get rid of a lot of decuctions for the rich and flatten and lower the rate for them, have the lower income ones that don’t pay at all pay something so they have skin in the game).
