  A few things here:

  He should have been on a team with kids of his own age — not always “playing up.”

  Also, boys are generally stronger than girls going in late jr high and definitely high school. It IS an unfair advantage to have boy playing on a girl’s team.

  If he is REALLY motivated, he should start his own team. OR he can switch to a different sport.

  A person just can’t do everything they want to. Age, location and yes, gender, are legitimate factors in determining what we can and cannot do…all thoughout our lives.

  If she was still employed as a porn star and infamous for it, I‘d say ’No Way!’

  But she’s claiming to be reformed/retired, whatever. As long as she’s promoting reading and not laying, I’m perfectly okay with her interacting with children. Are we not allowed to change and grow and mature? Can’t we be charitable enough to allow others to do the same???

  That was my initial thought. Why now? Why announce his death now? What’s going to happen this week that we are encouraged to dismiss? I know I‘m not the only one who thinks he’s been dead for years.

  I was taught in elementary school that “he” was superimposed in many instances where “he and she” should just be understood. So I guess I don’t like the changes, only because it makes for awkward reading.

  Yes, the reading can get awkward when including man and woman in every single instance. Messes with the beauty of the passages.
