  • So Ted Nugent grazed an unlicensed BEAR with an arrow in Alaska & got probation, a high fine, banned from hunting, a criminal record which affects his right to vote & carry a gun, subjected to the scorn of the Obama Media, etc. These guys intended to harm/kill a HUMAN BEING FOR FUN & they get charged with the equivalent of tagging & let out on probation. Gee, nobody on probation would ever go out in the woods & make another booby trap, would they? They should have been hospitalized for evaluation of their sanity & declared a danger to themselves & others. What in the hell is the difference between what they did & sitting there with a rifle waiting to shoot the next hiker? None. None at all.

  • Ironically, California has spent 30 years outlawing smoking, now working just as hard to legalize pot.

Heard this ridiculous story of regulation hell in the nursery today. High School wants to rebuild the ag barn, just a sheep shed, really. Built in the 70′s when the school had 1/4 # of students it has now. It has lead paint on it (I actually helped paint it then). Because of new lead regs a specialist must be hired to tear it down. Cost? $45,000. After that they still have to raise the money to raise a new barn. So they’re applying for a gubmint grant to cover the cost of complying with gubmint regulations. It’s incestuous. Makes you feel dirty thinking about it.

They got a gubmint grant to build a school garden. They want to build raise beds for a vegetable garden. Railroad is replacing track, selling ties real cheap. But they can’t use them because they are treated with creosote which the kids might touch. So they are trading the ties for pressure treated lumber. The fencing store will then sell us the RR ties to use at home where our kids will touch them. Also, the kids will not be allowed to eat any of the food they raise, can’t use it in the cafeteria, nor can they give it to food banks because it’s not FDA approved. I guess the homeless can rummage it out of the trash bins after they throw it all away. But they have a grant to build a garden, so build it they will. We’ve fallen a long way from WWII victory gardens, America.

  • Please, somebody do this study on California. I‘m sure it’s much worse here. My town is being flooded with gov’t subsidized wind generators and solar panels with NO TRANSMISSION LINES. SoCal Edison is 5 years behind constructing new transmission lines. The electricity CANNOT be sold. It can’t leave the field. Yet, we have mandates, they are using farm land which will never be reclaimed and we are heading for rationing. They are installing “smart meters” on every house toward that end. At least Solyndra went bankrupt BEFORE they scattered massive pieces of equipment over thousands of acres. America, get it through your heads, there is nothing “green” about wind and solar power.

  • I’m a long time NRO reader. Rich Lowry is a coward. What they did in firing Derb for something he wrote in another publication, which was clearly satire, just made his point. In fact, Rich Lowry couldn‘t have made Derb’s point any clearer. The New Black Panthers are still walking the streets of Florida but Political Correctness is terrorizing the conservative movement. This is the same thing NPR did to Juan Williams. It was wrong then. It’s wrong now.

  • I was afraid to read the story, but I’m so happy I did. I’ve got six of my own. You just worry about them all the time. God bless all those rescuers who worked as hard for a horse as they would have for a person. Brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart.

  • After weeks of media attacks over the fake contraception issue, being outspent by Romney 12-1, with 4 fewer districts, and having Newt drain off votes for no purpose, Santorum nearly took Ohio. Fantastic!

This was a vote of No Confidence for Romney, not a win. So he has delegates. He doesn‘t have the respect of the people he purports to represent and he isn’t doing anything to inspire our confidence. He is not growing on me. The more I see of him, the less I want him to be my president.

  • Amen. Right on, right on, right on.

  • It really is disgusting. Bravo to the photog for catching it at just the right moment for maximum gag effect. I don’t believe you could find two less kissable people on the planet. Well, maybe Princess Nancy…

  • Sad news. He was my first real fan girl crush. Everyone else had David Cassidy on their walls. I had Monkeys posters until I left for college, actually. What can I say. I loved Davey Jones. I celebrate the well lived life of a man who brought laughter into a time of darkness in the country and made my childhood more fun. Prayers for his wife and loved ones.

  • As a former foster parent, I can attest that the school will call CPS at the drop of a hat. The creepiest thing about this story is the dad’s quote. He says the principal knows his character and should have given him the benefit of the doubt. As though owning a gun equals bad character. That is liberal mind warp indocrinated thinking to the nth degree. Somehow, I always thought Canadians were badasses. I mean, they have bears up there, right? You can’t live in Montana or Wyoming or Alaska and not own guns. Sorry to be proved wrong. Canadians are wusses.
