  If someone is addicted to say, heroin, stopping isn’t as easy as it sounds. So far, the easiest and most effective method of detoxing is methadone.

  The logic is that since addicts are probably going to get high anyways, providing clean needles at least reduces the risk of contracting diseases, particularly HIV. So you could say this is not only to protect the junkies, but also the general public by lowering the spread of HIV.

  Have you ever actually been to Norway? Do you know what the country is like? Not just Norway, but the entirety of Scandinavia is pretty much ahead of many other first world countries. They have better services, education and health, and they don’t find themselves in massive debt. This also relates to other countries such as FInland who don’t have the oil the Norwegians have, but who find themselves well off anyways.

  His “Marxist” government has led the little country of Norway to having the greatest wealth per capita in the world. Norway is doing a hell of a lot better than just about any other country.

  This is downright retarded. Personally, I am an atheist, but this is pointless. Why should you care if other people want to remember the people that died their way? It’s a cross, you don’t have to look at it. It is not offensive. If you don’t like the fact that the dead are being represented with a cross, then place your preferred symbol of remembrance next to it.

  Mao and Stalin were dictators, hence the distinction I made between pure communism (never been achieved) and their respective systems. In pure communism everyone owns everything and so there is no need for curency (I do not belive this is possible to achieve btw).

  There is no set capitalism, there are different degrees of capitalism. One example is Fascism, where the corporate state made sure that the wealth was all directly controlled by the government, hence a far right society with the government having control over all aspects of society. In the pure communism described above there is NO governement therefore it is a far left society.

  I realize this does not completely fit with the American system where you have Democrats and Republicans, however, it perfectly describes the attacker’s presumed views as far right, as it was affiliated with Nazism.

  By your logic we can justify Hitler too. Hitler was a swell dude. All he wanted was racial purity in his country so he decided to systematically exterminate millions of Jews. Does that mean he wasn’t insane?

  Are you blaming the shooting of innocent people on the muslims in Norway? Damn Muslims were in the wrong country!! That is ridiculous.

  Hey, if white people didn’t exist the Native Amercians would still be alive! If the Jews weren’t in Germany in the 20s, the Holocaust wouldn’t have happened. Yet we rarely blame the Jews for the Holocaust do we? Why should it be different here? Just because he had an ideal doesn’t make him sane.

  If anything, it makes him more insane for following such a twisted ideal as racial purity.

  IF he really wanted to make a statement against muslims in Norway, then why didn’t he attack them directly? Killing a bunch of innocent (despite your opinions they were innocent regarding his aims) children is hardly going to make the government say “hey, we should shut down our borders and kick out the muslims”

  The left right spectrum goes from extreme capitalism to pure communism. I realize it is not as simple as this, but this is how I intend it. On one side (right) the wealth is property of few people, to the left it is the property of everyone (pure communism, not to be confused with stalinism, maoism or any so-called communist regimes out there today. pure communism is defined by a lack of governing body since everyone is considered the same)

  If we take this model, then National Socialism is to be considered far right, as everything was centralized.

  So you think that because someone is a liberal they will go and shoot up summer camps? not to mention this was what you would define a “liberal” summer camp. If so it seems extremely counterproductive.

  How hard is it to accept that this person was insane? I’m not saying that right wingers are murderers, I’m saying that right wind ideology (extreme right wing) is what he used to defend himself. He could have used extreme left ideology for all I care. The point is, he was insane, does it really matter what he believed in?
