‘Religious’ Sex Toys for Jews, Christians, & Muslims? You’d Be Surprised
January 6, 2012 at 1:23am
@ Richard the lion hearted:
I think it is a mistake to make absolute statements about this when it is not explicity forbidden in scripture (like murder). Sure- act with faith, but God looks into the heart and judges that. When you try and read things into the Bible that aren’t there because it makes you more comfortable, you can start believing things that the Bible does not support.
Christians in Corinth we surrounded by bad people in there community. The city worshiped the goddess Aphridite (Goddess of fertility) by hiring prostitutes from the temple and having a big love frest in their homes. That‘s why Paul spends so much time discussing why it’s good for a man to be with his wife intimately. They saw the culture around them and decided that abstaining from woohoo altogether was holier. They were wrong.
I feel like the idea of this makes you feel uncomfortable because you grew up hearing that the act should be done a certain way. I also don’t feel like you are certain about what lust is exactly.
Any stance without the substance of scripture to back it up is on shaky ground.
Ron Paul Calls TSA ‘Jack-Booted Thugs’ in Response to Highway Checkpoints
October 25, 2011 at 3:03pm
I think TSA has missed the mark here. What they REALLY should be doing is house searches. Think of all the homes that are in the United States alone! If random house searches were allowed, there would be no rapes, murders, child abuse, terrorist acts!
