  If the robots become sentient, then the exploitation of the sex industry will continue, it’ll just switch from humans to robots.

  I’ve never actually seen 7-8 people at our local K-Mart at one time. It is basically empty, but for the employees.

  Thank goodness. This might be just what it takes to close the K-Mart by our house. We’ve been there a handful of times since we moved here, and never ever found what we were looking for. It is organized poorly, dirty, and the employees are rude and unhelpful. It is just wasted space, and the neighborhood would be well served by a better business moving in.

  That said, Sears isn’t bad. They just aren’t different from any other department store.

  I see skinny jeans all day long at the college and probably 95% of the people wearing them really shouldn’t be. Even if they can sorta-kinda pull it off, they’d generally look better with a nice pair of boot cut jeans, imo. I hate skinny jeans.

  But a flip-flop ban? I’ve known a lot of Mormons in my life, none of them were afraid to wear flip-flops. Safety issue maybe? That was our high school’s excuse for banning them. Seeing as I live in Florida though, everybody just ignored the dress code regarding flip-flops. Personally, I never heard of anyone dying over it…

  I remember hearing his victim’s widow speak about the case once. It was heartbreaking. This piece of trash should have been executed years ago, but the appeal system in our country is broken.

  That said, I can’t blame the DA for dropping it. I’d rather him stay in jail for life than be freed on appeal, because of witnesses not being available anymore. It gets very difficult when you have to prove a case again this many years after the fact.

  I love the picture. As an older sister, I remember those family pictures where I would push my younger siblings away when they tried to get close (ewww, he’s touching me! mom!!!). Too funny.
