  I am betwixted and between when it comes to unions. My husband has been in the Carpenters Union for 31 years. He would never been able to make the wages and benefits as a non union carpenter. We have never been without health benefits and he will retire in a few years with a modest pension. The union benefits have afforded us a modest lifestyle and allowed me to be a stay at home mother of 2 girls. We homeschool our girls because the public schools are awful.

  On the other hand I absolutely despise what the unions stand for and his hard earned dues are being paid to crooked politicians and union bosses like “CHUMPKA” and his ilk to make them FAT off the workers backs. Everytime I see CHUMPKA I want to puke. The unions would not have any pension issues if they used the dues for the workers and not paying off slimey politicians.

  I have a love / hate relationship with the unions.
