  • collectivists smear their opponents. You, Platitude, seem to consider yourself a true individualist as you spout the liberal mantra that can be found in every liberal rag, newspaper and liberal blog. You are using very old techniques as you bash anyone who objects to your POV and you look down your elitist, self-imposed intellectual nose at all who disagree with you. You are the perfect example of the bourgeoisie attitude toward the proletariat. Your comment about science (your God) killing our Savior is the perfect example of a person totally immersed in an echo chamber of like opinions…in other words – you are the perfect example of pack mentality.

  • Platitude, you are the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black.
Ayn Rand was a CAPITALIST! Individualism is an absolutely necessary component of Capitalism, but what Rand defended to the end of her days was the only economic system that allows the individual to control his/her own destiny. In her essay collection about economic issues “Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal” she, along with several well respected economist (including past Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan) discuss what true Capitalism is and how it works. She also clarifies the “Roots of War” where she explains that, outside of voluntary charity there are two ways to acquire something: take it, or swap something for it. Conquest or trade. There is no other option. Government is the agent of conquest, capitalism the agent of trade. She also shows the logical progression of each. She explains how welfare states are not based on today’s buzz word -“altruism”- but on control, and how this system always collapses when it no longer has the means to support its masses and then turns to plunder. Historically, that evidence is there. In a trade society, those who offer the best value win. Rand, in another essay in this collection explains how “human Rights” have gone from claims you have on your own life to claims those “rights” give you to make on someone else’s life.
In another essay in that book, “Extremism–or the Art of Smearing”, Rand shows us how left-leaning collectivi

  • What I find interesting is the fact that whatever these scientists discover, it will only prove the need for God. The amount of brain power and planning that has gone into this simulator is evidence that an intelligence was necessary in making the particles collide in just such a way as to create the occurrence the scientists are trying to recreate.

  • All I could think of while watching this with tears streaming down my face is “That could be my daughter” and no one, not one soul would have helped her. I only pray to God that I am never in a place where this kind of cruelty, inhumanity and lack of concern is evidenced — I fear the attackers blood lust would pale in comparison to my out-lash. The person holding the camera would be my first victim.
