  The ONLY reason my daughter is still in Girl Scouts is because she is going for her gold award which typically gets you a full college scholarship. She and I have talked about their liberal agenda and she knows to not listen or believe the stuff they push. It makes me sick. They are NOT the Girl Scouts anymore. They are a liberal run business out for themselves. The only thing they care about anymore is pushing their views and getting that money from the cookie sales. Unforuntely, we will be out there selling these cookies in January and February, freezing to death for 10+ hours a day each Saturday and Sunday. We are very limited in ways to raise funds for the troop project and activities so selling cookies is something that we must do, even though we don’t like it. I just hope that people do not punish the girls while trying to punish the Girl Scout Organization. It’s not easy selling those darn cookies and the girls put in a lot of time and effort for that 55 cents per box. We’ve been out their many times when our eyelashes were frozen ice cystals! It is not easy.

  If you can’t see your way to buying a box of cookies maybe you can drop a dollar in the donation box. Each troop gets to keep 100% of their donantion proceeds. You would be helping the troop without supporting the Girl Scout organization.

  Two cookie seasons ago (the January after BHO was elected president) the cookie slogan for that year was “BE THE CHANGE”!!! I was so angry that they would push Obama’s campaign slogan on our girls that I and several other moms called to complain. Their response, “it has nothing to do with Obama”. What total BS. It had everything to do with him. He had been saying it for two years before they ever hit those cookies. If people knew everything else that we’ve seen and witnessed they would know that this Media Matters thing is nothing new and falls right in line with their agenda.
