  commonsense, She came forward on her own. If she really wanted to keep quiet why didn’t she? All she had to do is keep silent and no one would be talking about it, instead she got an attorney and had him do a press conference. As a person who has been accused of sexual harassment myself, I am a little skeptical of her motives. If she really wants to be left alone, why the lawyer and statement? If I want to keep something quiet the last thing I do is hire someone to run around telling everyone about it, maybe she is just trying to feel important.

  commonsense, and you seem to think a sexual harassment charge is equivallent to a rape charge. There are no specific charges, none. How do you know there was any damage done to this anonymous woman? You are ready to judge Cain, try him and sentence him on the alleged word of someone who may or may not have been harassed. Maybe he just said something innocent like, Good morning babe, and she got her butt in a twist about it.

  godlovinmom, I don’t know who new commonsense guy is, but he is apparently a member of the national restraunt association.

  brntout, I used to work at America West in the engine shop in the 90″s and at lunch time I would go out and run the parking lots for a half hour or so. When I came back in I had to walk down a hall between the engine shop and the hangar to get to the ladies locker room, so I wasn’t actually in the hangar. That didn’t stop the sheet metat gals from reporting me though. I got in trouble for causing a distraction, after that I wore a rain coat, oversized sunglasses and a babushka through the building so the girls didn’t hurt themselves. The men didn’t seem to have a problem with it though;-)

  In my opinion most sexual harassment suits are groundless. I was charged with sexual harassment for wearing jogging shorts in an aircraft hangar on my way to the locker room. Sometimes people are just too eagar to complain about stupid stuff. The complaintants were women who worked in the sheet metal shop and they were mostly fat, unatractive, bitter women.

  Wether or not they are born that way doesn’t interest me at all, I could not care less. They are not winning me over to their side by insulting me and throwing vulgarities in my face. If they want to have a commitment ceremony and get the same rights a normal people I also don’t care. PLEASE just stop the crass behavior, it is dusgusting and it make me think they are a bunch of perverted a-holes (more then I already do).

  I agree, there is a great movement in this country to rewrite history and to just delete the parts that make the PC crowd uncomfortable. Besides, someone once said that if we forget our mistakes we are doomed to repeat them.

  The crusades are a part of history, we didn’t name it that, the men involved in the crusades named it that. History is history and I don’t feel like the crusades were anything to be ashamed of, those people were in a different time. If everyone thought the same way we do now, throughout history, then there would never have been the crusades, or slavery or the European settling of America (displacing the indians) or many things that many now feel are great injustices. It is just the way things were back then, no shame in it.

  It is their school and they can call it whatever they want, it is a shame that they are bowing down before the PC gods instead of the real one. Why can’t Christians stand their ground? Who cares what middle-eastern people and athiests think about the name?
